“Enjoyed very much.”

We thought this was a very cute place in a great location in Carmel! It has a very nice French theme to it and a great value for the price. The breakfast cafe was cute and very adequate. Once we found the heater in the bathroom and the room it was very cozy in windy, chilly spring weather. Also enjoyed the cream sherry available in the lobby, so much so that we purchased some Carmel Cream Sherry at The Chateau Julian to bring home!

“Great stay.”

Staff was friendly , I showed up early and they accomodated me immediately. The room was clean and the bed was super cumfy. I like the parking as there is only one way in and out and it is off street , I was on a motorcycle and this made me feel more secure about leaving my bike unattended.

Not large room but Inn is convienently located. Walls are thin so neighbor conversations, etc can be distracting.

“Great Bed & Breakfast Style with Perfect Details, Very Well Located”

The people at the from desk were not that friendly, not bad but not the best... Nevertheless the environment of the place is just perfect, excellent breakfast (included), the room with chimney was fantastic and impeccable. 100% Recommend for couples without children. Maybe one weakness of this place is that the walls are a little bet thin, and you can hear everything outside even though is a very quiet place. Is very well located, about one block from the ocean and in a perfect place to walk around one of the most beautiful towns in the world CARMEL. Enjoy it!!!

“AFTER 50 YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG.”

WE WERE CELEBRATING OUR 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AT THE NORMANDY INN WHERE WE HONEYMOONED EXACTLY 50 YEARS AGO, AND WERE HAPPY TO FIND THE INN WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND COMFORTABLE. A WONDERFUL RETURN.

“Good location, decent hotel”

The hotel's location is great - within easy walking distance of many of Carmel's shops, eateries and beach. The hotel itself is quaint, clean and comfortable. We had a standard Queen room - nothing fancy. The bathroom was okay but not great (little counter space, poor lighting and somewhat outdated shower/bath - but clean) - the room was simple but nice and the bed comfortable. There is limited on-site parking which is very convenient. A nice stay for a reasonalbe price.

“Disappointing”

Started with a poor start when desk ( with a very hard to understand accent, (French) kept insiting we had ordered two rooms. Finally got straightened out, but she blamed it on you! Room was neat and clean, but hotel directory is so out of date that tv channels and resturant guides were very out to date. Bed (pillow top) very comfortabe, but thermostat almost impossible to set (either too hot or too cold). Exterior of hotel very pleasing and location great, but a closer examination revealed a porch and steps in poor shape. This may be an ongoing process, but a slow one as old decks and steps could be a very real hazard. Continental Breakfast was horrid. Muffins and bagels at least a day old and no sense of where plates, silver were and folks kept bumping into each other. No tip left there. (Coffee looked more like tea) Stay did not ruin a much needed vacation and price ok for location, but won't stay there again.
