“Great Stay for a Great Price”

I recently stayed at the motel for 3 nights and 4 days, the stay was great! My family and I stayed on the bottom floor right by the pool. The beach was literally right there so there was no need for the oceanfront view. The housekeeping and staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and tidy every morning and fresh towels and sheets were provided each day. The free breakfast in the morning was perfect for on the go, which we were every morning. I would definitely stay here again next time!

“Great for a weekend!”

All the employees were very nice and concerned about our stay. The rooms and bed for sure were very comfortable. It is an older hotel- the carpet on the stairs was worn but it is the beach! We had a really good time-it was an ocean front and the view was great. We didnt need luxury we were just there for the beach and the weekend and had a good time. We loved the frozen yogurt and ice cream place across the street-yum!

“Small and personable. We were well pleased and will stay again.”

This was the perfect location and hotel for us as we were striving to have a relaxed, comfortable and quiet vacation. We both have active, stressful and demanding jobs and wanted only to relax and enjoy our down time. We did not want that swallowed up feeling that comes from large resorts nor did we want to be constantly bumping into people at the pool or beach. The front desk was very accommodating providing easy check-in/out. Our special request entered through Expedia was honored without hesitation. Although not a new hotel it is well maintained, quaint, clean and very personable. We will definitely mark this as out place to go in Myrtle Beach.

“very nicwe, small, oceanfront hotel”

Rooms were clean, but showing the wear of an oceanfront hotel. Refurbishing was in progress. Friendly and helpful staff. Not fancy, but comfortable. Will go again.

“Nice Location”

Although this wasn't the nicest hotel on the strip it was the perfect location. The staff were nice and helpful. The price was a little high for the quality, but some of the other hotels looked worse. I would stay here again.

“Not the greatest, but would go back.”

This was not the greatest place to stay, but for the money and to open your door and see the ocean and walk to the beach it was not bad. The biggest complaint was the pool was very dirty and the drains were very slow, but otherwise for a family of four we had a pretty good time.

“Very disappointed”

This was my first time at Myrtle Beach. There was one parking meter in the lot. And at 3:00 a.m. I had to use because of the few spaces there were already taking. When I checked in to the hotel it was not explained to me that I had to put money in the meter or I would get a ticket. And since there were only one I assumed that it was out dated. Guess what I received a $20 parking ticket. I went to the front desk and spoke with the manager. This man became outraged at me, raising his voice and telling me how stupid I was. He took the ticket from me at the end of our discussion, stating since I was not told at check-in the man whom checked me in would have to pay for the ticket out of his paycheck. I would not recommend for anyone to stay at this facility.

“Very Bad Hotel Experience”

Not worth staying at this hotel at anyprice. Had to step over an around housekeeping staff to get to my room, room was dirty, carpet old and moldy, appiances did not work, electric outlets on wall were hanging loose, room smelled terrible, bathtub had back crud in it, patio door did not work and could not be locked. Immediately upon entering room my wife and I agreed that we could not stay there. Took over two months, several calls, and rude staff to get a refund. Still had to way over pay for one night.

“Need's work”

Although the postition of the hotel is fantastic (easy access to the beach), the building seriously needs work. The contental breakfast was quite pathetic, consisting of a few muffins and cereal, and one of the employees who worked the front desk was extremely rude. I would definetly pay an extra 20 or 30 dollars to stay somewhere else.

“NEVER stay at this motel”

This was without a doubt the worst experience I ever had at a motel. The first room we were assigned had a broken air conditioner (in Myrtle Beach in June), it was on the bottom floor and had a sliding glass door with NO barrier between that door and the parking lot/ alley way right outside, and the room phone did not work. It smelled moldy and was VERY dirty. They moved us to a 3rd floor room which was a little better. Then, later in the week, the toilet backed up and overflowed. When I called the front desk, I was told I could come up front and get the plunger. I had to do maintenance for myself. Really?!? Never EVER will I stay in another Super 8 again.... even though I realize they will not all be like this one. One bad experience was enough for me.
