“Best Western”

The Old Colony is a great place to stay. The Bestern Western was very clean and the offered drinks and snacks. The staff was really great and the shuttle service was very helpful :). I totally recommend this hotel and I will stay here again!!!

This stay was rescued by excellent Expedia customer service. Decent Hotel within a reasonable walk to Metro and King Street.

I needed to make an unexpected stay in the Washington DC area. This hotel was very affordable and I was extremely pleased at how nice it was. The hotel is not new, but is well-maintained has nice updates & renovations. My room was very clean, the furnishings were very tasteful, relatively new and beds were very comfortable. The entire hotel is non-smoking...a definite plus. Breakfast selection was great--everything from bagels, cold cereal, yogurt & fruit to hot items. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And no charge for parking--a definite plus in the Washington DC area! I would definitely stay here again--great value!

“full breakfast”

This hotel was very nice. It is too far from downtown Alexandria to walk, but the price and "extras" made it worth the ten or eleven block drive. It is right on Washington St, so it is easy to find. The hotel serves a full breakfast, and has a complementary snack room.

“Alexandria Delight”

I checked in after most restaurants in the area had closed. The second floor free snack room stocked with soup, yogurt, cereals, etc. was an added plus. The free breakfast was more than adequate. I loved having 4 pillows on my double bed with the down comforter.

Staff was very friendly. We traveled with 2 kids and the free breakfast everyday was a huge time and money saver. We never waited more than 10 minutes for the shuttle to the metro. And an easy walk to king street where there is alot of shops they also have a free trolley service that goes from one end of king to the other. Very very pleased with the stay will definitely stay again.

“Visiting DC”

Friendly staff, old building but well kept. shuttle available till 9 pm to Metro and old Alexandria. Good breakfast with plenty of afternoon snacks. Would definitely go again.

“Had its positives...”

Pros: friendly staff, good a/c, free shuttle, free 24 hour snack kitchen, free parking Breakfast was sufficient, and the room was clean and big enough for guests. One surprise: wifi is NOT available in all rooms, though there are cables in all rooms for Internet connections. Wifi is only in the reception area. They're obviously working on upgrading the hotel. During our stay the parking lot was redone and the jacuzzi was out of service. Note: no elevator, 20 min walk to King St or Braddock Rd Metro
