“Super Value Golf resort”
Really enjoyed our stay at this resort, a bit out of the way however on Oahu you are not far from anything. Reasonably priced rooms and restaurant.
“Good Value”
The resort is in a beautiful location in the Makaha valley overlooking the ocean. Our room was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated. Service was excellent. The food at the restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. This is the perfect place to relax and a great escape from Waikiki.
“Hidden Paradise”
I booked my reservation knowing this hidden paradise would be an hour away from Honolulu and Waikiki. It was so worth the drive. The resort and staff were beyond expectation. If I get a chance to go back to Oahu, I will be staying here again.
“We will go back!!!!”
A little out of the way from everything but was very nice. We are planning on going back and staying at the same hotel. Nice and quiet not to much traffic the workers were very friendly and helpful.
“Wonderful Design and Landscaping”
The hotel is a beautiful place, designed and maintained superbly. The cottages are laid out down a slope that is pretty steep to climb to the resturant, club house and lobby. The shuttle service up and down the hill is great. If I had a suggestion it would be to furnish golf carts with the buildings (cottages) furtherist out.
“nice hotel”
The hotel is comfortable and the services are good. You can use for free the wireless at the main build and also at the restaurant. The only issue is the distance between the parking place and the rooms (50-100m), but that is a detail for who wants to enjoy Hawaii. So, in genesummary I would recommend this hotel for everybody interested to pay a fairly value for a very good sleep night.
“MAKAHA TO THE MAX”
Another GREAT trip with Expedia! Air / Hotel / Air all check in and out very smooth w/out any problems. Makaha...Great...location...room could have been better though... King size bed, night stands each side, double wide mirror along wall beside bed, small old bar fridge on carpet under mirror, double wide dresser end of bed, small round table shoved in corner, two chairs only one out comfortable. Room was a very disapointment...but...I was travelling alone and had come back from China a month previous so did not really care... I will go back...HOWEVER...room MUST be better. Location: Makaha...If you travel to Oahu and know the island...this is the BEST place to be. One hour travel time from Honolulu / Waikiki and could not be quieter. No night clubs, no fancy restaurants, no nothing...out where the ocean meets the sea...the birth place of long board surfing....during winter. Expect dry...long drives to town if you are going that way...WHY WOULD YOU?. Staff very friendly. I was there during a "Couples retreat" for U.S. Military families, but all was very quiet and as a single "gay" traveler felt very welcome and safe. STRESS: If you are expecting the nightlife etc, do not stay here, if you want to get away from it all and re-charge...this is the place. I WILL RETURN...SOONER THAN LATER OH, check out Paradise Helicopters...wonderful tours...!
“Makaha Haven”
We were very pleased with the conditions at the resort. It was very clean and the staff displayed true Hawaiian aloha. A nice get away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown and other tourist areas. We would highly recommend Makaha Golf Resort to other travelers.
“Re: Great Place”
This resort was wonderful. The staff was super nice and helpful the entire stay. The view from the resort is priceless. The hotel is on a remote side of the island, but the drive to Honolulu was not bad and the quiteness and peacefulness was definatly worth it. We would stay again!
“Restful”
Outstanding friendly service in a very peacful and relaxing setting. Beautiful views.
