“Amenities with small town flavor”

Staff was very accomodating and friendly. Breakfast was quite satisfying with choices. I did notice there was not a microwave in the dining room nor in the room. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

“Stop 5 of 7”

This was our 5th hotel on our July trip to Colorado. It is located just off of the highway a couple of miles from town. Very quiet. Checked in early. The staff at the hotel was not exceptionally friendly and seemed preoccupied. Our room had a ceiling fan and a/c which we found refreshing in July. We were comfortable and the location is quiet. Restaurant located just a few yards away and the staff there is very friendly and happy to see us. We were the only ones there at opening time and had the place to ourselves. We chose an alcove in the patio area and stayed a long time just enjoying the evening, our food and each others company.

“Perfectly Rustic and Charming”

This is a rustic lodge in keeping with its beautiful surroundings. I liked the feel of the place and the folks who run it were super nice. Comes with a basic continental breakfast and free ice scraper which was much needed. I would definitely stay here again, I am tired of the modern motels which you can't tell one from another. Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek Pass are a hidden mountain wonderland in southern Colorado. 10 X better than Vail or Aspen for me.

“Liked everything about it.”

Great location outside the town. Nice grounds surrounded by mountains. Good breakfast. Biscuits and gravy on the weekend. Loved the lodge looking furniture in the dining area. Very pleasant staff. Reasonable rates.

“Wonderful Escape!”

Awesome get away. Loved the accommodation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. We slept great on the matress. Hot tubs outside while snowing all around. GREAT! We choose because of the proximity to wolf creek ski resort. Will stay here again!

“a home away from home”

When we got to the hotel later in the evening than we'd planned, there was a note on the door letting us know which room and to go ahead and check in in the morning. The room smelled fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable and breakfast in the morning was simple and just what we liked. We'd definitely stay here again!

“Great Place for a Family Vacation”

My son and I along with a friend and her two sons stayed at the Lodge while skiing at Wolf Creek. We found the rooms clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was served in a rustic dining room and was very good. My son especially liked the waffles. I appreciated the fruit. I can't say enough about the helpful staff. Any questions I had were answered quickley and cheerfully. The staff was very thoughtfu. ln fact, when I arrrived home after our stay, there was a message on my phone stating that I had forgotton a few items in my room. The manager verified my mailing assress and within a few days, my belongings were at my house. If you are looking for a posh, elegant room, the Lodge is not for you. If you are looking for a clean, well-priced room, and a friendly staff, head to the High Country Lodge.
