“Nice hotel, bad restaurant!”
This hotel was really nice, the rooms are spacious and reserve to its clients excellent service. However, the quality of the food they serve in their restaurant is really poor.
“Very impressed”
Although the Genoardo Park hotel is quite difficult to locate it was worth the effort it took. The hotel seems a little out of place as it is a rather large hotel in a small town/village. It's approx. 20 minutes from Palermo but you definitely need a car. Beware of the roads as they are very narrow and the locals drive rather erratically. The hotel itself is very clean and the facilities are excellent with a beautiful swimming pool and immaculate gardens. The bedrooms were also very clean. The service varied between departments as the reception and restaurant staff were very helpful but the bar staff seemed to be a little more reluctant to help.
“Geodarno Hotel Sicily”
We stayed here for a week in early October and had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was fairly quiet and the service from all the staff was excellent. A nice feature is a small restaurant aside from the main restaurant where you can eat a la carte so avoiding any package tours staying. I wouldn't recommend trying to find the hotel in the dark in a hire car unless you have a good sense of humour. Once you get your bearings in daylight it is easy though.
“Superb Hotel and Away from the City”
My wife, 11 year old son and I loved this hotel. It was comfortable, of a good standard and in a quiet location. The beautiful town of Monreale is a 5 minute car journey away and the capital (Palermo) is only 15 minutes in the other direction. There is a good restaurant in the hotel but we recommend the Trattoria / Pizzeria 3 minutes walk down the road for a more "local" experience (and huge hand thrown pizzas baked in a wood fired oven). The staff at the hotel are very pleasant and helpful (two of the staff spent 15 minutes trying to track down a particular type of tea for my wife).
“Haven from Palermo's hurly burly”
Excellent hotel. Lovely grounds and private secure parking. Not easy to find. It is not actually in Monreale but Aquino. Once you know where it is, it is easy to get to but need good initial instructions. Daily shuttle bus to Palermo centre is a life-saver ( doesn't run Sunday). Disappointed to find pool closed in October when temps 23-28 and sea bathing still pleasant. Food excellent.
“Would recomment”
Clean, good restaurant
“Good hotel”
Hotel was very quiet when we were there but there's a nice coffee shop in the grounds and a good pool area with towels provided. Near Palermo when you are driving. Restaurant food was excellent with good service from the waiting staff. Definitely recommend eating there also.
“A very relaxing long weekend!”
For the price of the hotel- it was fantastic! The pool and outdoor eating areas were beautiful! The food at the restaurant was ok, and the cost of snacks and drinks were very pricey! The "courtesy shuttle bus" only ran in the mornings and not on sundays, but there is a bus close by that you can take to get into Palermo. Overall, for a long weekend of relaxing by the pool, it was great. But the location was a bit far from anything, and next time I would probably stay somewhere else.
“Stunning View”
The hotel was a great price, however the reason for this is because it will cost you about 30 EUROS to get to Palermo city centre. We stayed for 3 days and went to the city once but to be honest the city had little to offer. Despite being so far from the city, for me this was the hotels best attribute. Up in the mountains with stunning views and beautiful silence. Coming from London to the Sicillian mountains for 3 days is a great way to relax.
“Hotel”
The hotel was very quiet and is a 15 minute bus ride from the small town of Monreale (1 bus an hour), however its location is away from the city of Palermo. The pool is nice and the staff were polite and friendly, however the bar was not open during the day.

Area:
Palermo, Italy: Sicilys capital stands on a curved bay at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Its a chaotic, ebullient place with masses to see. Puppet theatre, street markets and marzipan fruits are typical Palermo treats. Get your bearings at a major intersection, the Quattro Canti. Dont miss the superb mosaics in the Cappella Palatina, or Serpottas stuccowork in the city churches. The mummified corpses in the Capuchin catacombs are the stuff of nightmares.
