This Rapallo inn also offers tour/ticket assistance, multilingual staff, and coffee in the lobby. Limited onsite parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis (surcharge).

In-room wireless high-speed Internet access is available for a surcharge. Televisions come with satellite channels. Additionally, rooms include windows that open and blackout drapes/curtains. Housekeeping is offered three days a week and irons/ironing boards can be requested.

“Great location”
It's not exactly the hotel but rather serviced appartments. Having a small kitchen was very convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. To fully appreciate the location you have to book the room with the bay view.
“A delightful seaside town”
Il Convento is only a ten-minute walk from the railway station, and there is a supermarket on the way (not easy to spot, called 'Billa'). If you are cooking for yourself, you will need to shop there, since the only other supermarkets are at the other end of Rapallo. There is a very nice bakery just past Il Convento, and plenty of cafes in the direction of the esplanade. In the narrow streets in the centre of Rapallo, which is only a 5-minute walk from Il Convento, there is a wide range of small shops. The 'studio flat' is in fact a small room with cooking facilities, including a fridge and dishwater, a small safe, and an ensuite bathroom. Our tv was an old 14" (35cm.) model. We had a sofa bed, since our room was not large enough for a double bed and a separate sofa. The small size of the room was a disappointment. We had no balcony, although our room faced the sea, and we could see right across to the other side of the harbour. Rail connections with Genoa to the north, and the Cinque Terres to the south, are regular, cheap and efficient. Portofino can only be reached by an expensive ferry, but it is one of the prettiest small harbours in Europe, and shouldn't be missed . The 30-minute journey along the coast is very enjoyable. The staff at Il Convento are very pleasant, and will provide you with a railway timetable for the coastal service between Genoa and La Spezia. There are plenty of brochures in the lobby. Sadly, there are no sandy beaches anywhere nearby.
“Not like the pictures”
This hotel was not as nice as we had expected. It is a fabulous location right across the street from the water and right in the little town area of Rapallo. The rooms were clean, but small and nothing fancy. From the pictures and advertisements it seemed there was a bar and a cute area overlooking the sea. Well, there is a bar and a cute area overlooking the sea, but from what we could tell it was for only if you paid for breakfast (which you had to arrange the night before) and not just for getting a cup of coffee whenever you wanted. As a side note, it did rain the day we arrived and the day we left so that may have colored our perceptions a little. It is not terrible, just not what we expected. Having a kitchen area was nice and it is well stocked to do full cooking.
