“Great quiet place”
The hotel was very nice. Great for a family of 5 or 6 with young kids. My teenage daughters were hoping for a bit more action but I loved how relaxed and quiet it was. We only stay at a hotel for the night and spend our days exploring so this hotels comfort and location worked great for our family of 5. The 3 bedroom suite we had was very large, comfortable and very clean. The pool is a good size and the beach is a little bit rocky but still nice. The hotel staff were great. It wasn't busy at all so there was no fighting for pool chairs, etc.!
“Felt like a member of a loving caring group, not a dollar sign!”
The attendance scince the Reception upon arrival was excellent, very warm attentive and caring. You know, after 14 non stop hours driving, you want to be taken care of and received as a human being not a dollar sign. This hotel offered that perfect reception, plus peace and quiet, extreemely clean, excellent service and information, good restaurant hours, by the beach, it was much much more than my expectations. Congratulations and I am surely planing on staying there on my next trip down.
“Relaxing on the beach”
I had a perfect time at the Star Bay resort. It wasn't a very big hotel which kept the crowds and noise away. The hotel was relaxing, quiet and very hospitable. The restaurant was fabulous and many people spoke English, which was helpful. The front desk made my stay very comfortable and offered many options of attractions. The beach was easy to access but a bit rocky, but not bad. Overall it was a great place to relax.
“Very Impressed!”
This hotel is very beautiful, a little way from town, but very quiet. There is a little grocery store about a mile down the street and has all the necessities. The only draw back was the bed is very hard. If you like that kind of bed it would be ok. The place is immaculate and the staff was wonderful. Very nice food in the restaurant on premises.
“will stay there again”
It is a very nice quiet place the room was huge 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms full kithen living room and dining room. Great place for people with young kids. The pool is low on one end and higher on the other for older kids and adults. Probably not the place for young party type people it is about 1/2 hour to Puerto Vallarta where the party places are. About 1/2 hr to Wallmart to get cheap groceries. Tip go to Bucerious to their fea market I found cheaper items there than in P V's flea market. I would definatley stay there again.
“I will be going back...”
When I took the bus(cheaper)to Busarias, I really did not know where to get off...had a bit of a walk...the room was 2 queen beds, kitchenette, 2 TV's with remote, 2 bathrooms. I had a patio, there are balconies. The pool was great, big, wading pool for kids and or simply for relaxing...and showers by the beach entrance and exit. Small, but more than adequate restrant bar. Very friendly people, reasonalbly priced and will head back in a heart beat. You are only a 30 to 40 minute beach walk to town or you can pay 6 pesos for a bus ride into town. Not a 5 star hotel, but if you want simplicity and comfort without the huge cost, this is sure bet.
“Would return there.”
Did not get promised reservation but the staff put us in a better situation the second day. The staff was helpful and friendly, accommodations were comfortable, beds were good, enjoyed our stay.

Attractive, comfortable. Restaurant not a 5. Friendly employees.
“Locals Choice”
Our stay at Starbay Resort was very nice. The staff were always pleasant and very accomodating. The restaraunt had decent food, even though the menu was limited. On the first night there, the cook gave us fresh home made margarita mix so we could mix our own drinks in our room. Our room was spotless every day.
