“Great for a week's relaxation.”
We (British parents and a 14 year old daughter) booked this hotel at short notice based on location (warm), availability and reviews. We were not disappointed. The room was clean if a little spartan in decoration but linen and towels were changed almost daily. Breakfast and dinner were self service buffets but the food was plentiful and varied - something for everybody. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are looking for activities this is not the hotel for you There is no village as such; just residential housing and a small supermarket. Lounging on the beach or by the pool is about it unless you feel up to some time in the under-used but good spa.
“If you want a totally relaxing getaway from it all, then this is the place for you!”
The Hotel and grounds were absolutely beautiful and very well kept. The pool (which was huge!) and private beach were clean and tidy, and never overcrowded. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were basic but comfortable and serviced everyday. The Restaurant food was second to none and always had a vast array of local delicacies to try. To be honest, we couldn't fault it! Our only criticism (and not of the Hotel) would have to be that there was nothing else in the area to do. So if you like 'peace & quiet' then this place for you! We went B&B which was fine, but as it was quite early in the season, the hotel only had one of their 2 restaurants open and there was only one other within walking distance. There were a couple of others nearby but they were still closed and in need of maintenance, so we were tied to staying at the Hotel. If we visited again then we would opt for Full-Board/All Inclusive as paying for our evening meal did get quite costly despite it being a set price buffet. Would also recommend a Hire Car to go-off and see the island. We went up into the mountains a couple of times and visited the main town of Cagliari to get the true feel of Sardinia. Would definately go back when we need another relaxing break and getaway from it all.
“Great Hotel For Families”
If you are looking for a place to go with the family look no further. I am single and still enjoyed myself but this place caters to families. They have activities on the beach for kids as well as the adults. The breakfast and dinner are top notch for a European hotel. If I had one complaint and its not really a complaint is they only have wi-fi in the lobby of the hotel. Other than that the place is very well maintained and the staff very professional. I spent very little money outside what I paid for the hotel. I would suggest you pay for the breakfast and the dinner. It is completely worth it. More food than one person can eat.
“Great pool and relaxing stay”
Sardinia is not yet developed and so expect a lack of nearby facilities. We hired a car and used the hotel as a base to explore the island - and loved it. We booked a room with sea view. Initial we were given an average room, but queried this with the staff and were given a much nicer one. So don't be prepared to settle for second best. Would not recommend lunch and dinner at the hotel - the food looked tired to say the least. Great pizzeria in the marina next door or drive out to the Port Area in Cagliari for some superb local restaurants.
“Nice no frills hotel”
This is a nice hotel. First off, you will need to rent a car - it is a bit in the middle of nowhere. The pool is nice and in good condition. The beach leaves something to desire, but you're only twenty minutes or so from some very nice beaches. The rooms are nice, if a bit spartan, and clean. My only complaint was that the ventilation system seemed a bit shoddy and the smoke from a smoker next door came into my bathroom.
“Very enjoyable”
The hotel was great. It was in an good location close to Caligari and the staff were all very friendly and most spoke English well. The facilities were good, shame the heated pool came at a cost though. Generally the food at the restaurant was good. We really enjoyed our stay.
“not impressed”
the hotel was good in general but the rooms are old and the bed was bad .
“Dream holiday, but helps if you speak Italian!”
From the moment we arrived, very late because of flights, we couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from the restaurant waiters to the entertainment organisers to the reception staff. The resort is just beautiful. The pool is great for children as you can't fall in. It's very shallow at the edges. Despite being peak season in August, it didn't feel crowded. The food was superb. We went half-board and had a huge buffet breakfast and dinner. They were obviously rightly proud of the food on offer. Lots of seafood especially. Be warned though that dinner starts late, which can be difficult with young children. It takes some planning to adapt. The small private beach is man-made and not that great so I wouldn't recommend this for real sand- & sea-lovers. And there really is nothing around the resort so either stay put or rent a car and be prepared to drive. However, the parking is poor, and there is a daily shuttle bus to the town of Cagliari if you must leave. There's no reason to stray though as everything's right there. There was a packed entertainment itinerary for those who wanted it, with daily kids club, but everything is in Italian so it helps if you speak it! My kids don't so felt a bit left out, but there was an entertaining 'Baby Dance' in the evening which everyone joined in. We even bought the CD so may learn some Italian for next time! All-in-all a dream holiday in a gorgeous location. Recommended.
“3 out of 5”
You really need to hire a car (you have to be above 23 for young travellers) as the hotel is in the middle of no where and the local bus service is a bit unreliable. As for the hotel itself, most of the staff speak reasonable english. Pool-side entertainment is constant so if you're looking for peace and quiet then a car is going to be important! Food for vegetarians is good, but for a week, quite limited.
“Not impressed”
Although a 4* the rooms are to 3* level. The Hotel is quite far from Cagliari, so you will need a car to get there. If you have kids the hotel is reasonable. The best thing in the hotel is the food, which is great, so would recommend upgrading to the half board.
