“Beach Front Hotel”
Close to everything.
“very good value”
This hotel has lovely staff....a great location and is very clean. Like anther review I read the rooms are slightly outdated but that is all. Eveything else is great including the buffet breakfast.
“Lancaster Othon: great place to stay”
Massive room, clean, spacious. Lovely attentive staff. Would recommend to stay here as is an excellent location.
“Nice for the price!”
I had to call them to come clean my room, the hot water didn't work for a morning, but the staff was really helpful resolving issues, gave me lots of good advice on what to do with my spare time, etc., they upgraded me to a 12th floor facing the beach for no extra cost. I would recommend it.
“Home away from home”
What a great stay! The apartment style rooms made my stay so comfortable because I could close the sliding door to the bedroom, and entertain friends in the living room! The only thing I could say this room needed was new carpeting. It looked like it had seen a few miles. On the other hand, the staff was so friendly and helpful. They were always willing to help, and they even helped arrange my tours. This place was definitely a good value for people trying to save a few bucks!
“Good hotel for an overnight.”
Just what was needed: a safe place to stay on atlantic avenue in copacabana. Its obviously an old hotel, but not bad at all.
“The Traveler”
Hotel was courteous in all my request. I had no issues at all and generally a very nice place to stay
“Very good location.”
It is older hotel on Copacabana Beach. It could use some TLC.We had a room in upper floor ,the view from the balcony was magnificent . It can be very noisy with all the bars around. But this is Rio De Janeiro the city full of life! Enjoy every minute of it,just as we did.
“carnival 2007”
Hotel was clean but could use some updating.Well worth the money to be on the beach. Hotel personel were very friendly and helpful with Samba parade tickets and tours. Excellent free breakfast.More kinds of fruit than we knew existed and sausage, eggs, and breads. Two english channels on TV but your not there to watch TV.
“Basic hotel - great location”
The hotel is decent for the price. You can definitely see that the hotel is older - the amenities are basic but do the job. The breakfast buffet was decent with the usual - fruits, coffee, pastries, meats, etc. I stayed on the second floor facing the ocean. The view was extremely nice since I had a balcony. However, there is a club next to the hotel with loud music until at least 3AM in the morning. If you are not planning on being in the hotel at this time, then it should not be a problem. However, if you plan on sleeping at this time, I would request a floor that is higher or not facing the ocean. Overall, if you are not planning on being in your hotel too much since it is Rio, then this hotel is great and close to the beach. Make sure you ask for a room on the higher levels if you plan on sleeping before 3AM.
