“low cost, good location, not for you if travel with your women”
10 min from metro, the real name of hotel is Baisha hotel (now they are changing the name). I arrived at 4 pm on sunday and had to wait for 30 min - my room was not ready… staff at reception didn't speak English so I had to communicate with jests… wire ADSL in room and wifi at reception… it is Asia - nobody in a hurry to work… but It is cheap…

It's a nice hotel with the budget rate. Clean and comfortable room. The receptionists can speak english well, which is very very helpful in China.

nice hotel,clean room, and good service, best of all, location, take airport bus line 4 to final stop, walk 15 minute to hotel. close to subway line 3, 4, and 8. shops and restaurant all around the hotel. with this price, who can ask for anything more
“Traveler's hotel in Shanghai”
The hotel was set up for Chinese rather than American appeal. The lobby and rooms are smaller and not fancy but they will suit the needs of any traveler. It is only 2 blocks from Dong Boaxing subway stop with a very short ride to the bund and Nanjin Rd. Floors of the room were a bit dirty but all fixtures and bedding was very clean. Would recommend if you want a safe, good location, cheap hotel but do not expect a Hilton
“Good value, convenient location”
Good place for a temporary or short stay, linen and sheets were clean, heating was in working order, room was big enough for two. Bathroom was clean if a bit dated but there was hot water and toiletries. Carpets were older and worn, though. Location is not central but convenient to take taxi to downtown Shanghai in Puxi. There are small eateries and some street food around, if you are up for it. For the price, it was a great value.

“OK for the price for the budget room”
The general condition of the room and bathroom was no more than I would have expected - although I've had better for the price. The heating either did not work properly or it was just inadequate so was quite cold. As for location, it was fine - just a short taxi ride to the Bund and Nanjing Road costing around RMB 12-15. Five min walk to nearest Metro station by which you can get to more or less everywhere cheaply and reliably. Word of warning - none of the hotel staff speaks English so communication was very strained! Also, the hotel is right next a building site which has probably got about six months to completion and they start working at about 6am. Breakfast is limited to Chinese style, so no cereal, tea or coffee.
“Save a few bucks”
Travelled alone and booked this hotel. Hotel located along main street with shopping malls. It provides free internet and room has reasonable space and acceptable cleanliness. Only negative was the shower discharge outlet get choked and its tap water had odor smell due to rusty pipe. Called Room Service and technician responded reasonable fast. Not bad for a budget hotel as it comes with a daily simple breakfast.
