“Good for families”
Would recommend for family vacation. Good value for a family vacation. This is not a resort these are individual owned condos. My unit was clean and nicely decorated. A rental car is definitely needed at this location.
“Good location”
We stayed at the Anchorage for 1 wk during a family vacation. We had a difficult time locating the property; however, after arriving @ the property we realized that the property was in a great location. The only negative was the check in procedure. Like many others, we arrived and could not get into the property due to a security gate. We waited and followed a resident in...only to be unable to locate an office. We found a housekeeper, who called the office, who sent someone over to get us checked in. This was a little discouraging after traveling all night. The condo was nice, clean and close to the beach. Parts of the beach were very rocky! But not enough to ruin our fun. The pool is small but convenient. Overall, the Anchorage is an ideal place for a family vacation.
“Nice location and pretty good overall, especially for the price.”
Location is pretty good, since it's near Red Hook, and the beach is fine. However, the pool was closed half the time we were there and there is no restaurant.
“Anchorage Beach Resort”
This was a nice place to stay and great value considering there was a pool, tennis courts and a nice beach. The room was decent and clean. The only down fall was having to check-in and out at the sapphire beach resort. However a shuttle with friendly driver was available to take us to the Anchorage.
“Antilles Anchorage Beach not!! Sapphire resort....”
The hotel was fine, but the actual room was not at anchorage beach but at Sapphire. Antilles did not leave instructions on where to pick up the key for the condo which led to great confusion and an expensive taxi ride searching for their office. Otherwise the room met our needs and the beach was nice also.

Not a hotel it's, a condo complex owned by private citizens and it's not directly on the small beach that's there.
“Run down dump”
Although I realize that we didn't book ourselves into a 5 star resort, I still was gravely disappointed at the condition of our condo. There were drawers completely missing from the dressers, wood pulling from the walls, etc. The dishes in the cupboards had to be washed b/c they were either dirty or dusty. Condo had very little of the most basic supplies. We have vacationed in the Carribean many times, and this by far was the worst place we had ever stayed in. The positive was that the location was good, right on the beach and in an area close to the shops and places to eat.
“Maid Service?”
Hard to find this place. Took us 2 hours and that was with help from a local. This condo was roomy, but though the add talked about maid service I didn't see it. The floor was dirty, and there was always laundry left in the dryer for us to fold! Not a place I recommend staying at.
“Not very clean”
I was quite disappointed with this hotel. No one was there for check in. They leave at 6:30 and arrive at 11:00. I called an emergency number and they told me my room number and that the door was open. I did not have enough towels or wash rags, the dishes, pots and utensils were dirty but in the cabinets. The floor was sticky. I had to clean everything. I will never stay there again
“Very disappointed...”
It was a huge hassle and inconvenience trying to locate the Anchorage. Then to find out we needed to go check-in at the Sapphire Resort to get keys. Expedia never informed us of this. The Sapphire is located 3 miles away from the Anchorage. The rooms need to be updated and we didn't get the "at home" feel. Would not recommend this place, especially for families.
