“Peace and quiet”
Castelluzzo is a village where everyone bids you good day, people have time for people there. The hotel is the same as long as you speak some Italian as this area is where Italians go for holidays. Very much family run and do aim to please with service, very friendly, very clean. We went out of season in middle two weeks of October and were sole occupants of hotel but I suspect we would have been treated the same anyway. English was a problem for them but they tried just as we did with Italian. Anyone looking for a secluded peaceful gentle break could find somewhere more suitable difficult. We have travelled extensively and this hotel was exactly what we were led to believe and had no surprises. If you do not wish to drive around Sicily, want to feel part of a village for a while and can speak Italian, it is an ideal retreat though I suspect a little family orientated in high season as Italians are not a quiet people. Weather was unexpectedly superb in high 20s for our stay which helped. Beautiful island, lovely people and a good, clean, secluded hotel.
