“great location if you want to visit the Bailuzhou park”
We enjoyed our overnight stay. As we were only in town the one night we went for a walk round the lake. It was cold but we saw lots of interesting things and walked towards the other direction the next morning. We enjoyed the food and the view in the revolving restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We had a lakeside room on a high floor and the view was amazing. Not sure how good it will be in future if building continues and the glass lift overlooks a building site. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke reasonable English.

Most everything was good with this hotel. breakfast buffet good selection internet service wired was fast only isue was that they took a deposit on credit card and could not issue the credit/refund at time of checkout
“Nice, centrally located hotel”
Service was prompt and friendly. The room and lobby were clean and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel's location was convenient and on major bus routes with about a 1/2 mile walk to the BRT stop. Since I was running the Xiamen Marathon and had a early morning flight the next day I had no chance to utilize or evaluate the breakfast that came with the room rate.

The staff were very friendly and helpful; the hotel is well located. This hotel was one of the top hotels in Xiamen when first built, but to be honest could do with some fresh paint now. The rooms were clean; the bathroom was clean. I have no real criticism of the hotel and would stay there again. We were the only Westerners in the hotel, but found the the other guests friendly (I was taught how to hold my chopsticks correctly). The food for breakfast is plentiful and varied (buffet style); but possibly could be heated up a bit more. All in all a pleasant hotel, We stayed during Spring Festival - so perhaps not the ideal time for travelling around as most hotels are often fully booked.

It's clean and modern, convenient as it is in the city center. The staffs are kind and helpful.
“never again”
The hotel has no room service, and the level of English available is very poor on the phones. The restaurant is a nice idea....revolves on top floor, but the buffet is not fun or interesting and not very good. Dont even dream about ordering wine.....Chinese wine is horrible stuff. have a beer....safer. The managers are very nice, but the hotel is really not up to snuff. The area is not convenient at all to what western travelers expect and demand. Beds are hard, but not the worst I've slept on in China. Getting a taxi is a bit of a trick as well since they do not pull up in front of the hotel.
