“Highly Recommend”

All of the staff that we dealt with spoke good English and were very pleasant. The room was immaculate and comfortable, with excellent amenities. Also, the fact that it's directly across the street from the narrow park that lines the harbor was a nice perk!

“Great hotel in Yokohama”

I travel to Japan a lot for business. Small rooms are the norm so my room at the Monterey was a great surprise. I choose a double room for just slightly more than the price of a single. The room was very large. In-room safe, small fridge and spacious bathroom. I did think that the breakfast was very over priced at 2,000 yen (over $20). That's high for a buffet breakfast in Japan. And while they have BBC news on the TV, the English option wasn't working for the 3 days I was there. But these are small things. Overall I would certainly stay there again. The location is right on Yokohama Bay and near to tourist attractions.

“Great Value and location”

I have stayed twice. Neighborhood is scenic and walkable to restaurants. Chinatown is a must see.The room is alittle small but typical Japanese size. Service is very friendly with limited English but enough to be understood. I rented a car and parking is 1000 yen I think ,30 to 45 min drive to Yokosuka at 7AM. A great alternative than staying there for twice the money. Tolls are about $30 a day. I am looking forward to my next stay there.
