Found a cockroach dead in the bathroom and highlighted it to the staff but nothing was done about it despite them saying it will be sorted which was very disappointing. "If you like closeness to nature, this the place for you. Squirrels, birds and monkeys visited our balcony during our stay. The glass walled villa offers amazing view of the forest in all four directions but if you prefer privacy, draw the curtains, which we didn't have to use. Given the location, expect some ants, mostly in the bathtub but they don't bite or bother us. The adorable resident dogs do bark intermittently at night so bring ear plugs if necessary. Complimentary pickup/dropoff service...

"Really enjoyed my stay at Bayou. Staff were amazing. Room was clean with all the facilities (including kettle & iron board for those insane people who like to iron on holidays). Breakfast was great, both western & malay, different options everyday, including omelette station. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants and duty free. Only slight downside was pool is wading only... but that is the only minimal. Would definitely stay here again."
