"Average hotel that was incredibly overpriced. Maybe the price hike was for the NCAA tournament. Parking was horrible. It was either pay $32 a night for a lot behind the hotel or $45 for valet in the same lot. The metro rail is right across the street, I highly recommend taking it for transportation."

"The hotel/extended stay was amazing. I had the two bedroom apartment and I was not disappointed. The kitchen was fully stocked. The rugs sheds. The floor was dusty. The patio had ashes and cigarettes. The housekeeping manager was very nice as I ran into her in the hallway, she showed me around the pool and fitness area because I was lost and she was very useful when I needed extra towels during my stay. The residents were kind and fun to chill with. Overall, the place was great and I will definitely stay here again. I have very few suggestions: 1) They do not have a bellhops but have luggage carts to use on your own. You will need to return the carts you use but most people don't. Having a part-time bellhopper would be beneficial. 2) Towels for the pool should be easily accessible around the pool area. 3) They need a market or food around the pool. It will enhance the vibe. The surrounding areas have a lot of unhoused people and it can be kind of scary at night even though there are various food options around. 4) Housekeeping should not be an extra charge when you are staying for 3 plus days. "

"I’d rate the Egyptian Motor Hotel, BW Signature Collection, about 3.5 out of 5. On the plus side, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the six pillows were a dream. The room had a charming retro rock-and-roll theme that really gave it personality. The pool area was a standout—like stepping into a Flintstones cartoon, shallow all around (2.5 feet), and a quirky place to relax. If you’re traveling with a group, the outdoor lawn games add a fun touch. On the downside, the check-in was a hassle—we waited about 30 minutes because the front desk was tied up with a printer glitch, which really took the wind out of the start. Also, there was no coffee or tea maker in the room, which was a letdown. Housekeeping wasn’t provided automatically, though that wasn’t a huge issue since we stayed briefly. We were also disappointed the Tiki bar wasn’t open on the weekend. The restaurant on site looked vibrant and trendy, but we didn’t get a chance to dine there. In summary, it’s a mixed bag. The atmosphere is charming, and for about $150, it’s a solid budget-friendly pick. Just confirm ahead of time what amenities you’ll need. Overall, I would recommend it—just be prepared for a few bumps."
