Just above the train station, my son loved watching the trains go by. Aeon mall is equipped with everything, loved shopping there with plenty of food options. It’s my second time here and will be my preferred choice when visiting Asahikawa

Clean and tidy room. Very compact, but bearable. Good window view. Superb location, next to train station and ontop of a major mall. Staff are friendly and fluent in English. Would highly recommend.

Everything is pretty good. It's near transportation (JR station and the central bus station). Hotel is connected to a shopping mall with variety of food choices (even the food court is well visiting - visited the food court more than the other restaurants). Room is clean and spacious for a couple. There's a laundry area with <10 washers and dryers..iirc - some machines are combined wash dry while some were separate wash/dry (probably 3 sets). There were many travellers using them even during the night (11pm ) when we were there and we had to queue for it. No doubt enjoyed my stay and would be better if there's a private onsen.

It's just next to the JR Asahikawa Station and is connected to AEON Mall with plentiful food options. They also have a nice lounge where you can sit down for a free coffee. Overall very impressed with this hotel

The property is well maintained. The staff very helpful. The hotel position is connected to the mall which is very convenient on cold nights. The onsen is delightful after a days skiing

Fantastic stay at Asahikawa JR Inn
Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Asahikawa JR Inn. It is conveniently located beside the JR station and Aeon Mall, making travelling and shopping a breeze. Staff were courteous and helpful, be it lugagge forwarding services or restaurant reservations, they did their best to assist. The common bath was also clean and pleasant. Will definitely check out the JR Inn brand in other parts of Japan for my future tours.

amazing hotel, connected to huge Aeon Mall and huge multi storey car park. 500¥ for laundry (wash and dry) was a convenience provided. Room size could be bigger but i guess japan hotels are known for its size

Positives: - lots of facilities: public bath, reading room, common room - breakfast included at buffet within the mall - parking was only 800 yen for 24 hours (multiple entry) with relatively direct connection to hotel within the Aeon mall - provided gift to my child - great location Opportunities to improve: - on top of train station (noise might disturb some) - room was quite small (even relative to e.g. Tokyo) - room directly faced the afternoon setting sun which made it quite hot (AC worked fine though)

The location of this hotel cannot be better. It’s right next to the JR station and bus terminus, and there’re lots of restaurants nearby. This is a perfect hotel as a base point to explore Asahikawa, Biei and Furano. There’s also a public bath in the hotel. It’s not big but very clean and well maintained. My 5-year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the public bath. I’d definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Asahikawa.

I had a wonderful and comfortable stay here. I understand now why this JR Inn is so highly rate! It was very clean, cozy, and looked as pictured. The AC worked well and the air purifier was a nice added touch. I'll certainly stay here again! Tip: The breakfast buffet isn't worth it. The food was cold and the quality was lacking. There are other options in the mall for breakfast instead.

Stayed at this JR Inn again after a couple of years. It is well maintained, havent aged much since then. The location is next to the train station and a large Aeon mall which is super convenient. We also enjoyed the Japanese breakfast even after comparing with a couple of ryokans after. However there was a small episode which I hope they can resolve. I was putting my clothes in the dryer and wasnt on time to pick them up. Instead of leaving them in a basket or something, they stuffed the warm clothes into a small plastic bag and caused a lot of condensation so when I picked it up, a couple of items got wet. (I checked on the items in between the tumble drying so I know how wet they were). The staff resolved this quickly by offsetting my laundry cost which is the only thing I can accept anyway. Thanks to them for the quick reaction.
