Unfortunately our room was affected by water pressure problems, this meant on the morning of departure I was stuck in the shower for 10 minutes covered in soap with no water supply as it cut out half way through. When it eventually returned it was cold. I contacted the hotel afterwards and they said this was because of water use in the street and it was out of their control...just keep this in mind therefore before booking. Overall we found our stay poor value for money.
The room was spotless and get full English breakfast and only problem is wasn't enough parking space

Smelly reception (lingering/ancient deep fried food smell); no free parking availble altough guaranteed on our booking (restricted availability was listed in the 'small prints' notes on booking.com but not on the hotel.com site that we used - we had to pay 10 £ for one night in a nearby parking space) and reverberating (not so good) live music from a loudy private party playing until at least 23:00 (not terribly late but we were tired). I'm glad ours was a deluxe double room (if it was) - I do not think we would have fit into a regular one. Scant amenities. One towel per person: I realize this is an English touristy hotels feature, but inconvenient. We were kindly given ONE extra towel upon request. Sad continental buffet breakfast, but eggs very well done to order (we weren't very hungry, so we didn't go for traditional breakfast).
The hotel was ok and the staff did their best to be helpful but our room was so hot and the windows didn’t open (which was known about by staff and hadn’t been fixed). The shower was a trickle of water and it was just disappointing for the cost of the room. I could have paid half the price for a premier inn which would have been better with air con and breakfast included.
I was kept awake by some very explicit noises coming from the bedroom next door, it went on for hours!! I was concerned about what sort of hotel I was in??
Place is shabby, towels didn't seem clean

Central small hotel
Stayed there before be a use it is good value for money and comfortable. We had a different room which was on the top floor and spacious. But we found the shower challenging in that it stayed cold for a long time and then turned to hot and back again, not ideal. I also struggled with the lock to the door and had to be rescued from outside. Breakfast is very good.
We checked in around 19;30 and checked out the following morning before 8:30 and only used our ground floor room to sleep in. It was warm, clean and comfortable. We only met 1 member of staff who was helpful and friendly. We didn't make use of any of the facilities and had a room only option. Although the Hotel car park was full, we found a large car park nearby and then moved to street parking outside. The location was close to plenty of restaurants, etc. and it served our purpose well.
A good medium size hotel with good room and shower.
Breakfast very good and location is in town so a lot of places to eat and only 5 minutes walk.
The staff were 100% and looked after us while we were there even though we was working and not holiday.
I recommend this place to stay and a very good price.
We had a 2 night birthday break at this excellent value for money hotel. Clean, friendly, quiet,a few minutes walk to town centre and a breakfast that will keep you going all day.
Lovely and friendly hotel, so close to the centre of town, so very well located. Our only complaints were that the bed wasn't the comfiest and the shower's thermostat had obviously gone so the shower was either so hot you couldn't stand under or freezing. Aside from that can't complain for the price.

Dont stay in Room 1.
Location great for shops and beach. Beds comfy, shower good, tea and coffee making facilities provided.
My only problem is the room I stayed in on the ground floor. Kept awake by people in the lounge using very colourful language (they did quieten down when asked)
A toilet opposite room meant lots of banging of doors.
Woken up early by people clattering around in the kitchen (which was next to the room) preparing breakfast.
Another relative stayed in a room on 1st floor and had no issues.
A very nice stay. The room was clean and tidy and perfect for a weekend stay. The service was excellent and all the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel close to beach,12 min walk to beach, same di
Hotel clean & good location , require more parking spaces, rooms very hot when it's hot day, require fans / air con.
Big breakfast, needed to request to reduce amount of items next day. Need to reduce price for value for money, we paid £78 per night
I regularly stay in Bournemouth and I've never had a bad night or room in this place. Friendly stay, nice family feel. Walking distance from resturanta and bars. Regularly stay here.
What an excellent hotel with lovely character and extremely helpful friendly staff everything was perfect and it was a short stroll to retaurants and the city centre
Late decision to stay in Bournemouth so really happy to find somewhere with excellent value. A really nice guy booked us in and was very friendly.
The place was immaculate and the rooms perfect comfort wise. I can't praise the place enough for the price we paid, will definitely be back!
Unpleasant call and text to start with, then when we checked in... even worse.
We booked the room with breakfast the £99 option. The cheaper one was £84). However when I arrived, I was told no breakfast included! We called up hotel.com for help next morning. They talked to the staff saying the breakfast was recorded in the system. The staff told hotel.com it was too late to prepare anymore. The hotel staff didn't even acknowledge to us at all during the conversation. It's rude.
Hotel.com staff on the chat however was very polite and professional.
In addition, I got a call at 7.40pm and a text saying if I didn't call back my room would be cancelled. I noted the closing check in time was 9pm. There is pretty much enough time to get there. The call and text were unnecessary.
Heating was not good. Room was freezing cold all night. However bathroom radiator was hot enough so we have to leave the bathroom door open. Hot water in the room was unstable.
I am not sure why this room and staff manner worth £99. It's located in a area with many hotel hotels next door with parking. I recommend to try elsewhere.
Celebrating a birthday in a local restaurant, this hotel provided us with a very pleasant overnight stay.
I would definately stay here again but would need a larger room if more than a couple of nights. I can reccomend this hotel.
Yes it was fine no problems. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable

Conveniently located, the room was warm and clean. It was a little noisy from other rooms and outside, but otherwise fine. Small hotel but with 24/7 access.
A wonderful experience. A very enjoyable stay. Gorgeous hotel. Staff full of respect - polite, friendly and doing all they can for you. Genuine and professional. Being here on business working nightshifts they made sure I was never disturbed. Would leave me a bag full of goodies every day on my doorknob even though I didn't need it all the time. Wrapped fresh towels left at my door every few days. I have been staying in hotels in Bournemouth since January and I would say this is the best overall. I felt totally at home here! I absolutely loved it. I will be back at this hotel every time I come back to Bournemouth that is a promise! The hotel, staff and service are outstanding.

Value for money
Good place, very friendly staff, no lift and small bathroom.
Hotel staff were very welcoming and keen to provide everything needed for a relaxing break.
My single room was neat and tidy with coffee /tea making provisions stocked up daily.
The breakfast service was excellent .....food superb and waitress service super- speedy!
Well done for giving me a great stay....I will certainly book again .
The room was excellent and extremely clean including the bathroom. The noise was however far too excessive - meaning we hardly slept at all, main doors need changing to solid and doesn't help that the room was near reception so breakfast/check/guests entering in can be heard.
Great location for walking in to town. Staff very friendly. Bed very comfortable. Only grumble is the room could have been a little darker. Overall great value for money
I've stayed in about 12 different Hotels since Christmas in the Bournemouth area and for overall ratings this is the best so far. Clean fresh throughout, friendly staff. The only thing missing was a lift so if you have a problem with stairs let them know in advance. Otherwise a nice place to stay.
