The staff were very helpful and polite. Parking on site was an added bonus. The room needs a make over, rip in carpet by ensuite, window frames on inside /outside are a bit rotten. But bed was extremely comfortable.

A very tired interior. Creaking floorboards in corridors and especially in rooms above at all hours of the night make earplugs essential. Sink seal spotted with black mould. Everything needs a major overhaul.

I spend my weeks on the road and stay in a huge variety of hotels, many like this one that I would describe as "faded glory". Typically public areas are a little tired and rooms a little tatty BUT in this case the room itself was comfortable and the bathroom newly refurbished - all in all excellent value for money

The first room I was given had no heating and no hot water. The ambient temperature was 4C so I complained. I was moved to another room but the decor was terrible. The wallpaper was torn, and behind the radiator, there were large areas of mould. In the evening I went to the restaurant at 19:40 for a meal to be told that the kitchen had just and I should have placed an order with reception for my meal before 16:00. Impossible if you arrive at the hotel at 18:00. Appalling hotel, the carpets on the corridors are old and filthy and the flooring is uneven and bouncy implying that under the carpets, the wood is probably rotten. I would not stay at this hotel if it was the only hotel in Eastbourne.

I had a lovely sea view double room on the 4th floor. I think it nay have been newly refurbished. It was nice & warm and the bed was super comfortable. One of the lifts were out of order so I used the stairs, but may have be a problem for some as it was quite a wait at times for the lift. Breakfast was delicious but the window seats seem to be reserved for long periods and nobody appears. Seems unfair. Its always nice to look out at the sea when eating instead of the phone.

Generally a good hotel, guest room recently decorated and pleasantly furnished. Considering this was a superior double seaview room I would have expected body lotion, conditioner etc in the bathrom Also instructions on how to use the coffee pod machine were missing Breakfast very good

Great location right on the promenade and safe parking at a reasonable rate. Staff mostly helpful. However I struggled to get a consistent Wi-Fi connection so ended up relying on my mobile data. When I enquired I was told it was fine on the fourth floor so there should be no problem on the first.

Stayed in a room on the fourth floor. The first room we were given was dire - brown painted dirty walls, poor decorative state and very small room with peeling windows that didn’t fit the frames. Asked to be moved to another room which reception staff happily did. New room was bigger and clean but again in poor decorative state. Breakfast was poor. Although there was a good choice, the items on offer were not of a good quality and did not taste good. Corridors were in poor state of repair. On a positive note, some rooms on the second and third floor looked nice and the staff at the hotel were fabulous! Everyone was friendly and welcoming and made us feel very relaxed. Poor hotel experience made better by wonderful staff!

We enjoyed our stay at the Burlington, it is in a great location for Eastbourne Seafront and very close to the town and shops. There is a large dining room and lots of food and drink options at the hotel. The hotel itself is a little old fashioned but it has a traditional charm. The only downside is the parking situation- we were unable to get into the car park any of the nights we stayed, one of the days we did manage to find a space but we were told we’d have to move as it was fully booked. So would definitely build in time to your journey to try and navigate the parking. We ended up parking at the NCP nearby for all our nights.

Very outdated hotel. My original room was filthy, windows full of mould, mattress made me itch at night, TV wasn't working. Was moved to another room where it was full of dust. Previous guest left hotdogs in the desk drawer so it clearly wasn't cleaned properly, the toilet had #2 stains around the rim, mould behind the radiator and the window pane had wood rotting. Staff are impolite, lack basic customer service. Was told I'd be refunded for two extra nights that I booked and was refused in the end. Avoid this hotel. You'd get better service in prison.

The hotel is old and needs a lot of repairs. When we arrived and went to our room there was plaster hanging off the wall and ceiling. The curtains was hanging of the rail. We went straight back to reception and asked to be moved. They gave us another room. In the second room the window did not close properly and the room was cold. You could hear the traffic and the waves through the closed window. The walls had marks and dirt on them and when we tried having a shower the bath filled up and the shower had no pressure. When emptying the bath the bath room floor flooded. The toilet seat lid fell of. There was mould on the wall. There was a good variety of breakfast but the cooked food was not hot. There is a car park at the back of the hotel which is a bonus but cost you £6 a night extra. When we returned back to the hotel late on Saturday night the car park was full and we had no where to park after paying for a space. The floor boards creak in the room and the corridor outside our room. Which I accepted as it is an old hotel. But when you can hear other guest at 6am walking past your room is not acceptable. Would I recommend this hotel, no. We paid nearly a £100 a night I was not expecting a lot. But general repairs and maintenance should be done. All the staff where polite and friendly.

The building is too old. Squicky floors, poor noise insulation. The windows do not seal properly and the room became cold instantly. Some windows are extra "insulated" with toilet paper. Many surfaces were dusty and corners full of webs. Felt more like a care home than a hotel. The good thing is that it is cheap (for a reason).

This property is very tired and could do with a lick of paint. The lifts are old and a little temperamental, one being a coffin lift only really for one or two at a squeeze. Breakfast nice. The rooms are adequate have tea/coffee everything you need, luxuries no. Not the biggest of rooms or bathrooms. The location is great, the view was good. Staff helpful and polite. Parking which is a bonus. Would I stay again, yes most probably as only for one night.

The hotel is large and ungainly and is very tired and in need of serious refurbishment, that being said if you just need a bed for the night at a good price then it is OK. The bedroom and bath room were clean and tidy but again tired and need updating. The staff however were very helpful and pleasant with nothing being to much trouble and they deserve all the praise they get.

Hotel lovely old and in cosmetic disrepair but clean :) Staff very helpful :) Only one and Half lifts lol 1 lift holds 4 people and the other holds 1 person ?? Major issue when it comes to checking out waited 20 mins for lift and we were top floor with v heavy bags. Overall nice and cheap x
