"Great location even better staff My husband and I stayed at the Voco for 3 nights to attend 2 Jersey Devils games. So location to Penn Station was important to us. We knew we would be getting back late 2 nights, so we wanted to be sonewhere we could walk safely back to from Penn Station at 11 pm or later that was clean and a reasonable price. The reviews indicated we would get all of the above. What the reviews did not tell us was how wonderful the staff is. This is by far the best staff I have ever encountered in a larger city. They treated us wonderfully from the checkin to when they put our luggage in the taxi. I don't plan to ever use a different hotel in NYC. A special shout out to Marina who assisted me when I checked in with finding a place to work on repairing my jersey, Michael who assisted us with an issue we had with the room ( that was caused by the negligence of the room above and was taken care of by the hotel), and Johan who helped us book our taxi to the airport. There were several others that also demonstrated great customer service, but I didn't get their names. The only critique I have is there is very little storage in the room, but the rooms are extremely clean and quiet . Overall , it's a great place to stay for the money. "

"Somewhat dated common areas - elevator and corridors were very dark. No communal area in the lobby. TV channel selection very limited. Great location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, subway close by."

"When we finally got the keys to our room, it turned out the room was already occupied so we had to go back to the lobby and get a new room. We were in a rush to get to a dinner event so this turned out to be a real inconvenience. Never happened here before, so just hoping it’s a one off as we stay here somewhat often. "

"Ice machine was by the lobby, and one of the elevators were down, but they allowed usage of the 2 service elevators on the end of each hallway to make up for it. I was only there for 2 nights but it was comfy. The rooms were very warm but the windows open and it balanced. "

"Excellent hotel. Breakfast amazing. So fresh and so much to chose from. Location fantastic. Rooms spacious. 5star all round! Will definitely recommend and stay here again when we return to NYC!"
