I highly recommend this hotel for several reasons. Our room was a standard double with all necessary amenities such as a pajama set, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed was just perfect with two pillows, one kabuki, and one soft pillow, and we had a refreshing sleep. The public bath was a bonus, and we could easily check its condition. We could also check if the laundry was in use from our room. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Nijo train station. There is a department store nearby with a grocery store as well.

Loved this hotel! No surprise it has such a high rating, the staff are very friendly and helpful, we didn’t encounter any issues during our stay here. The hotel even has an entirely free coffee counter which was really handy! As well as a whole section simply for amenities. It’s exceptionally clean and looks exactly how it does in the pictures. It’s also right opposite Nijo station which is really handy, only a few stops away from Kyoto. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Loved this hotel stay ! Our favourite hotel in our Japan trip - such a good price stay balanced with a luxury feel to the rooms and service we were provided with. Great literally opposite the station couldn’t be closer - perfect for getting around. The only thing I would advise as we liked going out late in the evenings it’s a longer walk or few train/ bus stops away from the central part of town - plus side it is nicer being in a slightly quieter end of town as Kyoto is extremely touristy !

The Hotel was very comfortable and well planned out. The staff was very helpful giving recommendations and directions. We know very little Japanese but they knew plenty of English.

I liked that there was a nice selection of places to eat nearby. Also conveniently close to Nijo Castle. I like that the hotel had a facility to do laundry. The only downside was that there are very few laundry machines and some people were hogging them. They left them locked for a long time. It would be nice if there were more laundry machines.

Extremely value for money, was helped by excellent service staff with good English that made stay much easier. Walkable to Nijo castle and just opposite Nijo station. Good amenities nearby (7-11, bakery) Enjoyed free drinks at the lounge as well as table tennis table available for rent for free. Room was spacious with large bed and good facilities. Breakfast was provided and had a good spread albeit repetitive after 3 days Also has gym and Onsen. TV big and able to support casting for streaming services! Highly reccomended, enjoyed our 3 nights here thoroughly.

This property is PERFECT for its location. Such a short hop to Nijo Station, Life Store, a 7-11, or any number of cafés and restaurants makes it worth booking. HOWEVER, if you reserve a king sized bed, know that it's not actually a king mattress. It's two doubles pushed together. They are not comfortable on the edges either, so expect to basically sleep on a double, and your partner can sleep on the other double. Also, the gym is is a joke. The staff do not maintain it at all, and guests leave trash frequently. On a plus side, the bathrooms are very nice. The showers are especially good, even for taller people.

The Royal Park Canvas was open, friendly and very inviting. We enjoyed getting together with others in our party at the tables in the lobby, visiting and playing games. It was very convenient to the train station. Of the 3 places we stayed in Japan, the Royal Park Canvas was by far the most comfortable. And the showers were the best!!!

Stayed for 2 nights and room was lovely and fairly large with great shower and bathroom. Hotel is positioned very close to the Nijo station (jr line) and bus stop is almost at the front door. Would recommend to anyone who is looking at staying in Kyoto

Pro or con the first/last interaction was a self-check-in / self check-out. The location was amazing, right across from the main train station. There was a public bath and gym but I didnt get a chance to test it. The room was small and fairly barebones, but it was clean and the amenities were self-serve in the lobby. I really appreciated the PJs/sleep wear and the toothbrushes and other items.

We loved this hotel so much especially how big and clean it was, I loved that you can have all you can drink tea and coffee, my personal favourite was the unlimited ice matcha tea and there was a ping pong table you can use in the evening.

This hotel was amazing! Right across from Nicko Station for accessible transportation. Spacious hotel room, clean and felt very luxurious walking in! Easy to check in and out! Hotel can hold luggage if you arrive before check in time at 3pm. Very accommodating! Would book here again! Wish we stayed longer!

Would definitely stay again!
Spacious room with HUGE king-sized bed. Amenities are all downstairs, but hotel provides a cute reusable tote to transport and that came in handy later in our trip too. Tiny little gym but had enough to do the trick. Laundry facilities were very convenient, especially the availability tool on the TV (careful to look at the weight/load though and don't overstuff like I did!) Great coffee in the lobby. SUPER convenient to the train station (across street). Modern vibes, check-in done at kiosk, lots of staff at desk as well, very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for dollar.

Great location opposite Nijo Station so good for visiting West Kyoto and places close by accessible by rail. Friendly staff, funky lobby, lovely small onsen. The room was spacious and had all the amenities but was rather drab in comparison to other newish hotel rooms with its grey and white colour scheme. The off-white wall coverings are a strange choice, show marks so easily and lack any warmth. Overall a good experience and I would definitely stay again

Amazing Value at a very tre day hotel in Kyoto
A wonderful hotel, exceeded my expectations. Absolute value for money! The bath and gym is an added bonus. The concept is also great with free coffee and water anytime in the lobby and additional amenities available for use including face mask, grooming kits etc.
