Great location as only a short tram ride from the CBD, but also restaurants and supermarkets nearby (walking distance) in North Melbourne. Our regular home away from home when in Melbourne.

They upgraded my single bed to a queen bed at no cost, the street is very quiet so sleeping is no issue. Pillows weren’t the best is my only bad feedback.

Cannot recommend enough!
We had the most incredible stay at Melrose Apartments- we cannot recommend it enough! We initially had a motel booked around the corner but are so glad that we decided to go with this property instead. Lisa, who manages the place, is the most incredible person- she was flexible, available, even switched out our laundry for us! And Truffles, Lisa’s dog, is the sweetest thing. The location, condition, service- everything was beyond top notch. Thank you!!

Loved the location, so close to public transport and an interesting but safe area to walk around. Plentiful and varied food options nearby. Lovely lady on reception to answer queries but otherwise I was left in peace. The apartment was small but clean and beautifully quiet. I will be back again!

Lovely clean, modern apartment. We were given a larger room which was very spacious. Friendly service with good recommendations on where to eat. Convenient to tram line into city. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic
Fantastic place to stay. Close to tram stop. Parking is free on the road - just need to be aware of any time limits - but weekends it is fine. Stayed here lots of times, and each time it has been exceptional. On Mother's Day the owner even gave me a bottle of wine and chocolates - so thoughtful.

Lovely studio appartment. Parking is on the street not in/under the building. The neighbourhood felt safe, but the add does not clarify where the parking is. I work late, and would not like if i had to park far from the building then walk home.

Mixed experience.
More 3 star than 4 star. Located opposite public housing high rises. Burned out house in street was off putting. 4 hour limit on street parking after 7.30am. Value for money but I would have preferred to pay more for better location & decor. Hair dryer didn’t work & replacement arrived after I went out with wet hair. Staff tried & were friendly.

Great spot for exploring Melbourne
We usually stay at Melrose Apartments when in Melbourne. The apartments are close to transport and not far out of the city. The rooms are very well set up with cooking facilities etc, and always clean and cared-for. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

I stayed for the month of February and overall I had a very pleasant stay. It was very well run and the staff were unobtrusive. The manager Larissa was friendly and very helpful. Extremely clean and tidy and well run. Parking was not a problem and it was quiet at night. Located in a very handy spot to public transport and main arterial roads. 5 stars

All good except parking a car
I chose Melrose Apartments when I was searching on Hotel.com was because I like the "Free Parking" which was clearly marked in it's ad. However, I was asked to park my car with fully loaded my important stuff to be parked on streets which I did not want it at all. So, I had to pay the parking fee for parking my car in the basement of the building. I found this information about "Free Parking" on Hotel.com is incorrect.
