Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean room, excellent bathroom facilities, good to have WiFi, fridge and kettle. Saturday night was pretty noisy (quiz night followed by live musicians) but otherwise fine. Great regular tram route 19, really good 7-day cafe two blocks away.

Didn't notice on the website that there were only stairs and no lift. Would have appreciated the knowledge before booking as i had a very heavy piece of luggage.

Fantastic staff
Oddly enough there was a misunderstanding and we arrived very late at night only to find that our room hadn't been made up. The poor manager of the hotel, actually came back to the hotel from across town at midnight and made up our room personally and then gave us a full refund for the issue.

I was worried about the level of noise as some other reviews highlighted this as a concern. And it was noisy - but only up to 11pm and then no music, no banter and only some road noise (not enough to keep me awake). There was a bit of light coming into the room but again not too much an issue (the draps were okay). The staff were very friendly and the pub itself has good food and it was close to my venue the next day. So all good

A classic pub plus hotel. Close to the University of Melbourne, has been updated to a small boutique hotel. The rooms were neat and tidy. Comfortable for one night. Furnished with recycled furniture it does take you back to University days and is lightly quirky.

I loved the historical building and the modern rooms. Everything was comfortable. The adjacent restaurant and proximity to a tram stop were also perks!

One is told that breakfast is be obtained from 52 Morah Street about 100 metres away in the information in the room Unfortunately that place is closed and I would have thought has been closed for some considerable time. The TV did not work because of an antenna connection problem. Unfortunately when one becomes aware of such problems there is no concierge at the desk to help. A modest clean hotel but one I would probably not stay at again.
