Needing some upkeep but clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and room service was excellent. We had everything that we needed. Great gin bar just around the corner

Awesome place to stay anytime we visit Mildura and surrounds. Close to all eating venues and shops. Easy check in and the rooms were very quiet and clean.

Really hard to positively review this property. Positives were, good water pressure, friendly staff, comfy bed, spacious room. All sounds good yes? Well no, room stunk, air conditioner was noisy, poor lighting, room felt like it hadn’t been renovated since the 80s, seriously felt like a drug den. Oh yes and the “heritage” lift is so small we struggled to get our cases in and felt like it was going to breakdown any minute. Would expect more from a Mercure chain hotel. Mildura itself felt very unsafe and I really don’t understand why anyone would want to go there. We struggled to find a decent place for dinner within walking distance. We did however drive to The Gateway (nearby restaurant) and had a real nice meal. I’d avoid going to Mildura unless necessary but if you do have to go there then I’d avoid the Mercure.

We were not informed prior to arrival that there were no food facilities in the hotel at all. We had to go out to find all our food. Apparently it undergoing renovation?

Property is conveniently located and has many restaurants within a few blocks walking. Room was clean and well equipped. Disappointed that due to NY public holiday the pool was filthy and out of service for a day(temperature was 37 degrees). Reason given was due to public holiday they couldn’t get equipment to clean it. Poor planning more likely. No response either from the email we sent to the hotel regarding the pool closure.

The pool had a bad rubbish smell rubbish was not removed , pool was not available for one day it was 39 deg due to cleaning maintenance man arguing with receptionist over duties shower head did not work , meal in the hotel was terrible my wife could not eat the shewers left the meal behind no comment s by staff

Honestly, this was an amazing stop over. The check in was quick and easy, the room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable and it was close to a bunch of amazing restaurants and cafes.

Old Building, arrived late, room was small, basic and Hot. No outlook from a small locked window, and the wall A/C was not helping. A tough sleep and glad to leave this claustrophobic room.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room that we had was absolutely massive! It was like a once bedroom apartment. There was a heritage listed lift in the hotel which was quite the experience. The room has a spa bath in it, a huge bedroom and a view over the town. There was free parking on site which was somewhat limited but we didn't have any issues finding a spot. Without realising it we were there for Melbourne Cup Day which is a public holiday in Victoria which meant that the restaurant was closed for breakfast. My only suggestion for this hotel (not a complaint at all, just a suggestion) is that when I asked at check in about breakfast, the lady working informed us that the restaurant would be closed for breakfast due to the public holiday, I asked her if she knew if all of the cafes would also be closed. She said she didn't know, but some of them would surely be open. I asked which ones, and she said she didn't know, and that I just had to check all there social medias to see if they would be open for the public holiday. So my suggestion for management would be that if there is a public holiday coming up, maybe the hotel could make some enquiries with the local businesses to see which ones would be operating, so they can make recommendations to their guests. We wasted a lot of time in the evening trying to see where we were going to be able to eat in the morning.

The property is very central to restaurants and cafes and to the river. The property itself is tired and worn. Bathrooms need to be modernised, carpets need to be replaced and walls in both corridors and rooms require repainting.

IN a great position. Next time I would get the one bedroom apartment as it was more convenient to the car parking. Other than that, it was great!

Oldie but a goody! Close walk to the cafe's on the Murray River banks. Walking distance to shops and Working Mans club (very nice food at their bistro) . Very friendly staff at Mercure.
