"It was fun to stay somewhere that was actually the home of a prince at one point. The doors were all so huge.. and windows. It was fun staying in a part of Lisbon History. Everyone there was very nice. This was my second time there and any time I return to Lisbon I will definitely stay there . The location is perfect with a small park right across the street... so make sure you get a park view. I am not sure what the back window views are.. although I do know the Botanical Gardens are there.....

"Altis is in a very convenient area of Lisbon within an easy work to the Barrio Alto and the downtown area. The hotel is first rate; I've been going there for years. Tho only drawback this time was that we had reserved a king size bed and they did not have one available, which they should have saved for us. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! "

Hotel staff intimate they have outsourced it to the shack at the back of hotel. They haven’t, it is owned & run by same hotel. Breakfast consists of half a glass of orange (if they have it), a bowl of fruit consisting of 1/2 grape, yes 1/2 grape, a slice of kiwi fruit finely chopped, and a small piece of melon finely chopped. This amount of fruit is because hotel manager only...

"The property is a work in progress. You are buying location & a great location it is. The breakfast is not fancy, but for an American, the coffee may have been the best I’ve found in Europe. Every day was an adventure on what was not cleaned in the room. I had my own shower & sink, but multiple rooms shared 2 toilets."
