The room itself was small but clean. Staff where very friendly. Breakfast was nice with a great choice. Lovely bar area and drinks where a reasonable cost for a hotel. Location was fantastic! "

"The hotel is extremely beautiful and completely spotless. The breakfast was superb with so much choice. Shuttles were on time and with plenty room. The hotel is let down by some of the staff who are not super friendly and we didn’t always feel welcomed. The aircon in our room was also broken. We ordered two coffees to our room and had to pay 24 euros for the pleasure. The pool is only open in summer months. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Montecarlo! The hotel is in a wonderful, central location close to Piazza San Marco. The staff was helpful, always ready to answer questions or give advice on local restaurants, things to do, etc. We had them arrange a water taxi for us to go to the airport, and it was an exceptionally smooth process. They even helped us transport our luggage to the water taxi. We never had breakfast or afternoon tea at the hotel, so I can't give an opinion on those. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Montecarlo again and recommend it to others. "

"Great location as a home base to visit Venice for a few days. It's an old building with lots of character, wonderful staff, beautiful details, just abit more than a hostel and way more privacy, best location too. Highly recommend to solo or couple travelers as well."

"Although recently reopening after a refurbishment, the property did not seem especially modernised and the room and public spaces were much the same as our previous visit 10 years ago, albeit with a decade’s more use. The restaurant was incredibly overpriced, although the food was good, but the team were clearly very new and so service was inconsistent and missed bread, amuse bouche etc for some tables; wine list was forgotten and then the wine itself was not poured for 30 minutes until we asked for it to be opened. Those members of the restaurant staff who knew what they were doing were good but half the room of tables were unserved for 20-30 minutes at a time, so more than one table of guests walked out. There are some nice touches like the kids room, bikes and it is great to have some quiet outside space in Venice. The boat service is great fun, although the gaps in the timetable often coincided with our needs to travel back with young children, unfortunately so we spent a lot on water taxis as well. As a summary, the lovely property is let down by inconsistent service still finding its feet after reopening and tired feeling rooms which did not seem to have been refurbished at all, together with a very overpriced restaurant, so not worth the premium price overall. "

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Magical Stay at Hotel Principe Our stay at the Hotel Principe in Venice was absolutely wonderful. The room was magnificent—spacious, elegant, and perfectly designed for comfort. We had two patio doors that opened directly onto the Grand Canal, giving us a breathtaking view from sunrise to sunset. It felt like living inside a Venetian dream. Breakfast each morning was delicious and incredibly fresh, the perfect way to start our days of exploring. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the people around the area were just as warm, making the whole experience feel even more special. We loved how close the hotel was to plenty of shops, landmarks, and charming streets to wander through. Everything we wanted to see felt just steps away. We truly can’t wait to go back. This hotel made our Venice trip unforgettable. "
