"The room was a good size and very comfortable. However, the previous occupants rubbish was in both bins. The foot stool made of leather/plastic was grubby and needed a good wash. The towels were soft, fluffy and generously large. The bed was comfy and the bathroom all worked well."

Clayton Hotel Bristol City

10/10 Excellent
"We were very pleased with the hotel, clean, modern with spacious bedroom a very comfortable bed and great shower. The staff were very polite especially the gentleman who served us in the bar area. We also found it to be a great location for restaurants and bars plus ( go to the top of the street and turn right ) it was only a short walk to the shopping centre and the harbour too. The slight negatives were There wasnโ€™t a hairdryer in the bedroom which was mentioned at reception, the receptionist challenged this and I was told to double check which I did and found it was definitely missing, by the time it was sorted my hair had dried and left me no time to straighten my hair before checking out. Also at breakfast the crockery was not replenished regularly which meant ourselves and other guests were having to use items such as mugs for the fruit juices Having said that, we would definitely book again should we be staying in Bristol"

Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel

Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely stay at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself is a beautiful historic building with so much character. I especially loved the history and atmosphere of the hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, which was beautiful, spacious and very convenient. We absolutely loved our suite and really appreciated the upgrade. Breakfast was simple but good quality. I particularly loved the pastries, especially the pain au chocolat! As we stayed over the weekend, breakfast was very busy, so there was some waiting time for food orders, tea and coffee. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and a great experience. We would definitely stay here again!"

"The spa was needs a complete revamp The steam room had tiles missing on the seating area , the swimming pool areas were tired and were not cleaned properly The restaurant for breakfast : the tables were not cleared after each course and the dirty plates just piled up on the table When we entered the bedroom there was an empty beer glass under the bedside cabinet it was still there when we checked out The stay was ok but in my opinion fell well short of a 5 star hotel"
