Very friendly staff, great location for shopping and dining. Only negative was no parking, my friend came to visit and was not able to find any parking space and the hotel didn't have parking. Hotel gave information about a parking lot few blocks away. Can park and walk about 8 minutes is what the hotel said.

Decent and reliable basic hotel
I used to stay at this hotel frequently for my business trips and resumed again after the pandemic. This hotel is well-ran, it's very basic but the staff try to keep it very clean. The internet is reliable and there are plenty of eateries nearby. 2 things should be noted: 1) After pandemic, breakfast is no longer made onsite. They merely order breakfast from outside restaurants and pass on a fixed cost to you and the portion is small. In my opinion, unless you are on business travel with tight schedule, it's not worth getting the breakfast option. There are Taiwanese breakfast restaurants just one block away, 7/11 with fresh coffee and pastry on the same block and a night market across the street. The ordered breakfast is only average quality and taste. 2) Probably because of inflation, the room rates have gone up a lot for this property compare to its competitors. I do not think it provides a good value on most days. It's a solid basic hotel but the 'CP value" as Taiwanese would call it, is below average nowadays.

Stay for 10 days. Have been changed for 4 rooms. First room, full of dust in the corner. Pipe in the washroom broke, water burst and the toilet and whole room was flooded.. Very disappointed with their arrangement! Physical mental and mental torture whole night. Not sincere and apologise especially the manager. Only certain staff attend in respectful manner. Bad odour in the third room when first open the room. Very bad odour in fourth room, especially after shower, stink toilet smells from the drain spreading all over the room. It was happened again after complaints. Poor impression for my Taipei trip.

Pros: - bathroom was nice, big shower - bed was comfy - desk workspace was big enough - free washer Cons: - electrical power would shut off everything except fridge, so nothing could charge while you were out - my room was next to the storage room, and it sounded like someone throwing boxes against the wall - no clothes drying line

This is easily the worst place we have ever stayed and to qualify that statement we have stayed in some pretty odd places worldwide and are avid campers. I hate to give a poor review but this place didn't have anything good about it except its location was convenient to public transportation. It's really just a few floors of a multi use building. The entire place was very dirty. The laundry room was a nice facility to have but the washer was moldy and the dryer hardly worked. The bathroom was the worst- it smelled horrible and the window in that room doesn't open. The hotel was advertised to have an arcade/game room but it didn't, the staff were very confused when we asked about it. When we showed them the amenities listing they just seemed annoyed and kept saying there was no arcade. I also read about free snacks and drinks- there was one ancient looking juice machine that had two types of sugary drinks with some dirty cups so I guess at least the drinks part is true. We had beg for 1 extra pillow and blanket which the staff made us feel like it was a big favor to provide. There was a constant buzzing noise on and off all night long which was very unsettling as it sounded like wiring in the walls making us worry about a potential electrical fire. We didn't cause a scene and fight to be refunded as we chose a nonrefundable deal but this hotel stay really soured out view of Taipei. I would expect this place to be much cheaper based on its lack of cleanliness and amenities.

I appreciated how accommodating the staff were. We changed rooms as I had an ankle injury and could not walk far. They were very helpful . We were able to arrange late checkout as our flight was late . Clean, centrally located!

If you’ve ever stayed in a holiday inn express in the U.S., this hotel is basically there in quality. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s not the hilton. If you’re looking for a place that has helpful/friendly staff, transportation ease of accessibility, and an affordable price, then this is it. Our room had some cosmetic wear and tear that was obvious, but again, we’re shooting for the affordable that isn’t a motel 6. I’d recommend for anyone who’s looking for the above things and don’t have their expressions set to hilton/marriott status.

The amenities and room is great for groups of 4-5. 24 hour service and assistance is available. Please improve the elevator, at night it stops in every floor and it closes very fast even when people are still entering. The lady assigned on the counter is very nice and accommodating!

The staff is friendly and efficient. The room is very clean, and the bed is comfortable. I wish there was a heater in the room, however, as I was cold. As the hotel is on Taipei, please expect subtropical conditions. The walls were thick enough that no neighboring guests disturbed my peace. I slept well after requesting a second comforter. The bathroom amenities such as soaps, toothbrushes, etc. were plentiful and useful. I'd definitely stay here again.

I’ve stayed here a few times. I like the unlimited soft drinks and coffee. Rooms are generally clean and staff is super friendly. Reasonably located between two major MRT stops and less than 10 min on the MRT to Songshan airport. However, every time I’ve stayed in this hotel, the shower water doesn’t drain. I’m sure there’s a bigger plumbing problem that’s not being addressed, but it’s really gross to stand in ankle deep water while you shower. Also, despite being a fully nonsmoking hotel, there is always the stench of cigarette smoke. A lack of smoke dectors makes it easy for any guest to ignore this rule and get away with it. I hate to say this is a really unfortunate and frustrating thing about a lot of Taiwanese hotels...the management really doesn’t care and not enough people pitch a fit about it for them to even think of doing something about it. ARK hotel, please fix your plumbing and actually fine guests, per the signs you have up everywhere, who smoke in your hotel
