Quiet hotel which is far from toya station. Need to take bus from toya station to toyako onsen bus terminal and another bus to hotel. Room is big (quadruple room) and faces lake toya. Upon check out, receptionist recommended walking to toyako onsen bus terminal but due to heavy snow we were stranded halfway and has to take a taxi to toya station about 10 minutes away for 26000 yen. Lake toya is beautiful but unfortunately we booked the wrong hotel.

3D2N stay in Toya Onsen
The hotel location is a bit far away from JR Station, it will be great to have a hotel shuttle service collaborate with nearby hotel. Especially useful during winter. The food was pretty average, I would recommend to stay in Toya unless you must use the Onsen.

Scenic lake-onsen full meal deal stay
Nice hotel along the scenic lake Toya. We had a spacious japanese style room with balcony and indoor sitting area, 2 comfy futons, small entrance area, and full bathroom. Buffet dinner and breakfast was included and had an excellent selection of items. The onsen is true hot spring water that was satisfyingly hot. although the main onsen room and the alternating use outdoor pool need a good cleaning. Hotel was older but reasonably maintained and it's a good value.

Hokaido Nature at its Best
A modern Japanese hotel based onsen located next to Toyako lake. It is a marvelous natural area. The hotel had great views, and many local areas to walk.

We stayed in a Japanese stle room on the lake side of the hotel. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant, both excellent meals. We watched the evening fireworks from our room and used the onsen teice. Very nice, re realaxing one night stay.

Lake side hotel with good view for sunrise and fire work display during our stayz large and very cosy room good for family of 3 with grown up kid. Good breakfast and dinner included. 3 bicycles available free for an hour. Unfortunately outdoor onsen alternates daily between gender. Bus stop is only 2 minute walk and 26 minutes bus ride to JR Toya train station. Suggest to stay two nights to fully enjoy Toya Lake vicinity and onsen facilities.

With the price they charged, I can get a very good hotel in Sapporo or Hakodate. But, their facility is very poor. Firstly, I went to the hotel during January, the cold wind can blow into the room. If my body laid on the bed, I can feel the cold wind blowing onto my head. As the the window is just at the above of the window. Secondly, this hotel includes breakfast and dinner. The breakfast and dinner were not traditional Japanese food. Worse thing was that 4 of us were having diarrhea after had their breakfast. Thirdly, there was a lot of tour and the dinner and breakfast were together with the tour. Worse thing is they restricted the breakfast time and hurry us the dinner time. We were asked to go for dinner before 8.30am. After 8.31am, they would not allow us to go in to take breakfast anymore. The hotel staff hurry us to go to dinner as she said the tour is coming back and the place will be full. Lastly, with the price, I would not go back to this hotel again. This is really a bad experience and not a relaxing trip.

Booking for 2 bedrooms but was given only 1. Slow in service and staffs are rude, don’t listen well and unable to speak English. They even suggested to us to cancel our room. What type of service is this? Old hotel and spotted a cockroach on the last night.

Nice hotel next to the Lake
It is spacious for 4 of us. Clean and beds are comfortable. The food is nice and many varieties. I really like the set up for dinner. The lake view from room is awesome and calming. Love to come back again someday. You can stop at motomachi bus stop it is very near to the hotel, coz some people think need to get down at Donan bus terminal, but after Donan terminal bus, the bus will continue the journey. Downside only for onsen, the outdoor is alternate day for women/men but actually the outdoor onsen is connected to spa for men and women. There is no barrier so women will not go up to this outdoor onsen by mistake when it is day for men or vice versa. Please have alook into this matter. The water temperature 41deg C is too hot, I am not sure if this common as it is my first time in onsen.

I found a lot of long black hairs in my room and towels, but I have short blonde hair kind of gross. The staff were helpful and friendly but oh my god the manager was a nightmare. The onsen was nice. Breakfast wasn’t great.

Hope they can improve on the buffet to keep the food warm as dinner was already cold when I reach at 6pm. Another unpleasant experience was there was a wailing toddler for a whole hour in the hallway which the Chinese mother was not able to manage. Stayed in a single, non-smoking, mountain view room for 1 night. Room was clean and spacious. Toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc.), slippers were provided, including tea and electric kettle. Free Indoor and Outdoor Onsen on 1F during 6:00-9:00, 12:00-24:00. Breakfast was great, on 2F. Fireworks Shows on Lake Toya from 20:45-21.00, can watch from the hotel.

Rigid check in time but housed luggage. Gave English instructions on paper but not proficient in English to answer questions except for one person with some knowledge. Dinner & breakfast was delicious. Onsen was great. Hotel 5-7 miles from train station. Can take bus or taxi. Next to Lake so got to see spectacular fireworks on Saturday evening.

The Toya-Onsen hotel is right on the lake edge, so you get a good view of the fireworks at night. The room was fine. The wifi was okay for email/web but not fast enough for streaming. The onsen itself was good - good heat in the pools and an outside area that changed every day between men and women. The downside was the food. Our rate included a buffet dinner and breakfast. Both had a good range but the quality was quite low. Lukewarm dishes that were meant to be hot, uninspired cooking, not particularly Japanese (catering to a Chinese/Korean clientele?). Don't come here for a gourmet experience.

The location of the hotel is good. The service was very very poor. The staff at the counter were very impolite and had no ideas that they were serving people. Upon Check-in, they were supposed to tell us some details about the hotel and the arrangements for dinner and breakfast. We felt that we were ordered and all through we were meeting a black face with no smile. When we were asking for the dinner and breakfast vouchers on the second day, we again met with very impolite response from the staff. The food at breakfast and dinner were of low quality.

Excellent lakeside location. Free hot spring 6-9 am, 12-24 pm. Staffs are very nice. They were expecting me with hot food while we checked in about 7:30 pm. It was considered late, but they make extra hot food for us. We rented a car from New CTS airport and drove for 2 hours to get here. Parking here is free and very easy. The facilities are old, but they were well maintained and clean. Some remodeling were done lately. I could see the gorgeous lake review from my room. There is fire work show on lake surface starting 8:45 pm 187 days in a year from late April through October. We can see the fire work from the room balcony. The foods are good. They serve traditional Japanese food and mix some western continental food such as bread toast, ham, sausage, eggs, milks. The hot spring in this area has color, but there is no smell at all. Easy assess to lakeside park. The value is good for the price.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff!
Booked a standard room facing towards the mountain, but the staff gave us a free upgrade facing towards the lake. The room was amazing!!! Huge room with nice balcony and dinner area, and obviously with an amazing view! Absolutely perfect!

The hotel was comfortable and clean. It has onsen for both ladies and gentlemen, though unfortunately, the view of Lake Toya from the outdoor onsen was blocked by a barrier to prevent passerbys from looking in. The food at dinner was ok, with a generous supply of king crab legs. We could watch the fireworks display from our balcony.

In-house onsen, cost includes breakfast and dinner. Average buffet, but good for a couple of days. Onsen features women & men section, outdoor bath is available on alternate dates for either gender. View from the hotel is sublime over the caldron and snow dusted Mt. Yotei-zan - small Fuji-San. Nightly fireworks visible from balcony. Beds in the traditional style Japanese rooms are raises and very comfortable. Truly an authentic experience.

Onsen Hotel - great fireworks during summer
Love this Hotel, Directly facing the Lake Toya. Room is big and with Balcony, where you can view the Fireworks during summer right from your own balcony! There's Onsen (Separate room for female/male) and an enclosed, open onsen (alternate day for female/male). Free parking. Room and toilet is clean. Nearby has other eateries. Breakfast is great too! we love it.
