"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep.
There is a fridge and hot water urn in the room, but no tea or coffee (lucky I had my own)and only...
"The hotel’s construction is old, still using key instead of key cards, location is inconvenient compared to the other hotels in the town center, but hotel’s room has a beautiful view to the lake Toya. "
"This spot may not be one of the bigger roykans but is very hospitable. English friendly and onsen is tattoo friendly unfortunately the onsens are incredibly small the outside can only fit 2-3 people and the inside one is barely double that size. Dinner and breakfast were incredible."
"Beautiful hotel with picturesque outdoor baths and variety of indoor baths and sauna. Huge buffet for breakfast and dinner with variety of Asian food and some western choices."

"Very detail matters. This onsen facility cares a lot of detail. Staff are kind and well trained. My wife and I can see very detail “Omotenashi” in room, restaurant, onsen and staff service. It was really impressive. If we will stop by Hokkaido again, we want to stay again and see if there will be any small improvement (Kaizen) there. "
"Staff and accommodations very nice. Free laundry.
Only confusion was check in and line up for food in same door. Stayed in food line for short bit and then asked for check in. Even though very busy a staff showed us everything. "
"The hotel is adequate. Our room was spacious enough to make our 5 nights stay comfortable. Its biggest plus is access to the grand baths across the road. On-site bakery is great. There is no reception as such, staff from bakery multi task. The main issue was Wi-Fi or lack of it on the 6th floor."
"This hotel is my new favorite hotel. It is understated yet manage to wow me in every aspect. The staff are extra nice. Omi san who practically does the front desk and interpreter went above and beyond to help. He was patient yet thorough. We will definitely return. "
