The rooms are spacious and clean. There are a number of streetfood options if you are adventurous enough to walk around the area. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The breakfast buffet was adequate but I would highly suggest you walk around and use your Google Translate to buy from food places in the streets. It was awesome. The only thing I didn't like about our stay was the sound proofing of the rooms. I had trouble sleeping and staying asleep some nights cuz of the normal street noise. Wasn't too loud or anything but loud enough to affect sleep.

I would urge anyone who thinks of booking this hotel to definitely look else where. This is not a 4 star hotel, we travel a lot and I have stayed in better 2 star hotels. 1. We booked as a discounted rate, due to have a vitality membership therefore money off. Our first hotel room was on the other side of the road from the main building. The room was dirty and smelt very damp. We also experienced water coming out of the toilet, and the sink, the water was bubbling then shooting out. We were ‘upgraded’ this room was also very dirty and had damage to the furniture. We were told there was no other rooms to be moved to until the next day. We was never moved. We were given an apology, fruit and a bottle of wine, this is kind but does not make up for the stay we experienced. 2. When I went to talk to staff for the second time about the second room, with pictures I was told that the room was cheap at a discounted rate and therefore this was an explanation for the poor conditions. I was also told that they were in the middle of refurbishing the rooms, please look at older reviews for the reply of the management they have said this before and there is no refurbishment happening here. 3. This is a very noisy place, there are motorbikes all through the night and lots of music, this place does not sleep. 4. The roof top pool is old and dated, broken flooring in places. Old nappy on the floor for our entire stay. Breakfast is ok. Gym is ok. 5. So far from everything.

This property was clean but very limited on staff availability. The whole hotel is not maintained. Pictures of hotel were probably from 10yrs ago. Had to request an iron everytime I needed one. Seemed like they only had one iron.

Sadly I wouldnt recommend the Suite. A/C wasnt stable, toilet bursting water making noise all night. Broken jacuzzi, tv auto turned on with an alarm at midnight. No noise cancellation, heard the streets all night. Staff were excellent and so was breakfast

Friendly Hotel with slightly tired interiors
The reception was excellent and friendly. Staff was helpful. However the interiors was in poor condition. The bedside table was stretched aand also the door closing the bathroom was screeching and could ot be properly closed. The pool was very nice although it was unmanned. Also there was water trailing on the side of the baths. Bathroom by swimming pool okay.

Worth a try
About 7min walk from MRT and walking distant from Huai Khwang night market. Room lighting, aircon and curtains fully panel control. The only thing that upset me was the bed. I believed the Q size bed is joint by 2 single bed and the worst part when lying in the middle, you can feel your whole body sink in. Which make you feel so uncomfortable.

I was afraid, I've made mistake booking suite in this hotel, when I saw the outside look on google street view. But I was totally wrong. The place is unique, very close to modern part of the City, super close to subway station, and is surrunded by true feel of Thailand, its people, colours and smells. I truly did enjoy staying in Amaranta Hotel. Can't wait to go back.

Nice hotel. Enjoyed our stay. However, they no longer have the lounge chairs in the water at the pool as pictured. That was one of the selling points and main reason I selected this hotel. It's in the Chinatown district of Bangkok and almost everything nearby is catering to Chinese. Nice rooftop bar with awesome view of Bangkok and great cocktails!

It was quiet, the bed was comfy, the room was very modern, we enjoyed the area, lots of places for massage! The rooftop pool was really nice! More attention to detail could've made it a 5; two lights in our room didn't work (burnt out bulbs?), I mentioned it to maintenance but it was never fixed. The bathroom door lock was falling off (they did fix this right away after i raised it). Every other day cleaning service would remove hand towels and not replace them, we only seemed to have hand towels every second day! The pool bar is supposed to be open all day, but we never saw anyone ever working there. But overall we really did enjoy staying here!!

Good location , a bit run down over the years
Stayed many times in different type of rooms. Notice most rooms are a bit run down, toilet flooding occurs . Furniture are quite old . Location is good that’s why I stayed . Now no more free mini bar, and they charge for ice even though I stayed through in executive club room. They should be more flexible.

Very friendly and attentive front deck staff, room are very well clean by room maid throughout my stay. Other than the sliding door that separates the room and bath tub having some problem closing (need to apply some oil or grease), as it get jam and I'm worried by force the whole glass will topling on me. And the bed, instead of double bed. It was joint by 2 single, one side of the bed is definitely worn out. You can feel your body sink in when lying down. As for location, is not far from the huai khwang mrt and the main attraction area. About 10min walk away, you can have some entertainment and lots of food choices. If you are too lazy, hotel do have some nice food to offer and a chill roof top bar for a drink.

Disliked: Staff & service
I have to say that I do not appreciate the staff attitude and behaviour such as being unfriendly and cold. They seemed not to like me sit at the lounge area for some while. I only admire the decoration. Checking out, I smiled at them but they did not acknowledge it. I do not know what was happening to them. They seem to be very tired.

We’ve been here three years ago, the room was new, clean and with a good size. But the junior suite that we stayed this time was compact and some part of ceiling and tables were cracked. But other are fine, the staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is close to Metro station, so it’s convenient.
