Bad Experience- Needs lots of improvement
There was no 24hrs reception. The basin was always clogged and they would not clean the room properly until told. When complained about the bedsheet not been changed or towel not being replaced the lady said she wants to come and check the room . Plus the breakfast food was cold and juice had lot of water after informing them they made it proper the next day. Overall it wasn't a good experience wouldn't come back again.Staff has difficult to understand english.

I am staying here now, BY FAR the worst SH**T hole I have ever stayed in, dirty and disgusting with hair and toe nail clippings that I stepped on in bathroom, dirty floors, disgusting pillow cases that were turned over instead of being washed so they look clean. THERE ARE NO TOWELS, and when you ask for some, housekeeping is closed and you cannot get any!!! The front desk is completely useless, i probably got an STD from sleeping on the bed. DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT! OH AND LETS NOT FORGET THE MOLD GROWING ON

Photos of my room must have been at least ten years old. The room was gross. The safe didn’t work. Changed rooms to find the window ( now facing a brick wall, wouldn’t open and the room had a Keycard in it for another hotel room, hinting strongly that the room hadn’t been cleaned. Demanded a refund and got it. Went to a much better hotel. Will Nucor return to Le Fenix, and will never recommend. Avoid.

Good service at checkin and check out. the hotel location is good but the place needs a serious renovation as now looking very tired and the rooms are just okay. even had a couple of small cockroaches in the room. the bath towels are seriously worn out. Overall okay hotel but with some renovation, can be so much better!

Great environment
It was my 2nd stay after last year. Everything looked much better than last time. People were cordial and friendly, breakfast had varieties of items, environment was quiet and room service was as-needed. Overall, it was a good experience.

What a differece with the website pictures!
Poor maintenance can easily be seen in the hotel. The floor and the ceiling need major renovation all along the hallway. Dusty ceiling in the washroom.

Old dirty hotel
Old dirty Hotel. Had to change rooms because found a cigarette butt on the floor and the room had a strong smoking Oder. The first room had to walk through the restaurant to get to the room. Room was close to the kitchen. The second room was a better location but had problems with the door lock. Room was dirty marks on the walls and floors. The Air Conditioner was loud and had a musty wet Oder . But the staff was friendly and the included breakfast was good. I will never stay again.

2 years ago when I started here it was decent and $20 less per night. This time it's moldy and dirty. I sucked it up for 1 short night and moved to another hotel early the next morning. Do not stay here. I feel sorry for the front desk staff because they are nice but clearly the owner doesn't give 2 sticks about the condition of the hotel. It's literally falling apart.

Disgraceful, poor service, health hazard. 1. Checkin ignored, slow lack of staffing. 2. Room was not clean. Pubic hair was visible on floor. Cracks in walls. Bathroom circa 1970's. No amenities. 3. Level 7 corrudir ceiling had mould and ceiling was leaking fluid everywhere. Smell was evudent from mould. 4. Breakfast. Alleged hot food was cold. Plates were not clean. Found security camera above toaster covered in dust. Health hazard.. 5. Check out slow and understaffed. 6. Asked for extra deposit at xheckin. 7. Room advertised was 1 room and 2 bedrooms. What we got was 2 rooms with adjoining door which took 2 hours to find the key to open the door. 8. Similar report sent to GM of hotelOne door was misding a door handle.

Great location. Room was good, king size bed. Tile in bathroom needs a little cleaning and some mold on tile floor. Came back to a tv that didn’t work, despite all cables plugged in. Quiet hotel right in the center of great food and nightlife. Good value and place to stay if you are focused on exploring all day.

This hotel is really horrible. I have been here first time, and I had been stayed lots of hotel in Bangkok. Other Hotels were not bad and reasonable price all. But this hotel is too bad and made me upset. They gave me different room what I booked one. So I changed it. And 2nd time was too dirty looked like not changed bed sheets. Third one was too bad smell. Last one room doesn't work hot water systems.... Totally I changed my room 4times. But still not satisfied. I also found some paper what someone else did write complains about HOT WATER SYSTEM. The hotel didn't check and clean well room after check out a customer. That's why I found the complain paper what someone else wrote it. I am really upset at this hotel. I am wasting my precious time. I also met a guy. He said really surprised with this hotel conditions. So he just left hotel as soon as see the room and booked other hotel again. He checked a way his money. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR TRIP.

i have stayed here many times , many many years, a nice clean hip hotel . This last time the new manager Mr .Matt is very good and very helpful, i had a lot of problems due to airline loss of baggage etc, he really helped me . , fantastic stay . Great manager. Nice and safe hotel . it could have a better morning buffet breakfast , they should have more western food . Good staff. A very good stay .

Worst hotel I’ve seen.
Le Fenix was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever had to walk in to.... it was so rundown that there were stains, cigarette burns, holes in the carpets. The furniture was all chipped and not repaired. The fittings were old and in need of replacement. In fact I checked out within 10 minutes of arriving as it felt unhealthy to stay there. The photos show the hotel as it was many years ago and are not representative of the condition today.

All in all a bit of a bummer
The non smoking room had an ash tray in it and smelled of smoke, someone was drilling and hammering at midnight next door (and I don't mean the freaky kind, construction), our get-freaky zone was actually two beds pressed together which makes an awkward piece of leverage, and the bottle of mouthwash not clearly marked next to the rest of the complimentary toiletries was 120 Baht!! Ok, maybe that last one was my fault but still - for a hotel a bit more than normal I guess my expectations were a bit higher. The breakfast was pretty good, not included, but good. But I'll say something nice, I liked the spicy omelets.

My everything in room smelled like an ashtray. There was a cigarette butt on the floor and wads of nasty hair clumps. I complained and they came and swept a bit. After hunting someone down to cook something for room service I finally get fish and chips and it’s mostly raw and frozen in the middle. Now this is all within the first hour of being there so I figured I’d go shower. Haha, nope. Shower was broken and the pool has been under construction for the last two years. I would not recommend this hotel unless you just need a quick cheap place to sleep and you don’t mind some gross.

This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel however the experience I had was not that pleasing as 1) i’m stay at the top floor wifi connection is real bad, didn’t have chance to use the free wifi at all. 2) the pillow i had in the room already sunken in so much that it never supported my neck when i sleep.3) Requested for touching up the room when i left in the morning & when i came back the rest of the room has been neatly pack except for my morning coffee which i made in the room was still left on the desk untouched.

Gone down hill. Suitable only for price and area.
15 years ago this was a fantastic boutique hotel. It had great staff, food and overall service such as tuktuk to station and water in the pool. Having stayed here over a dozen times, in the past year each time another feature disappears. Not suitable now for western visitor. No pool. Breakfast no bacon or real meat! Only menu is Indian. Tuk tuk service hourly. No change of towel. General cleanliness declined. Rooftop bar used to be a cool hangout now deserted. Its a real shame as this area is alive again and this hotel used to be well known. It could be cool again if managed well and upgraded.

Needs to rise from the Ashes
Needed a room for the Night and ended up at Le Fenix had stayed before, place was feeling a lot more run down than previous stays.

Close to Insanity Nightclub
Was a decent stay. I wish they had more of a selection for food, but with the surrounding businesses you can make due if you want something different.
