Too far to get anywhere too far to get any food lack of restaurants lack of street food the only transportation is motorcycle Taxi the TV in the room was absolutely useless as a matter of fact I cut my stay short by 2 or 3 days Expedia should owe me this money

Room was clean and the staff were very courteous. I did not encounter any of the issues some of the more negative reviews had. This is a great hotel for value seekers. Lets talk a bit about the location though. There is not street food or convenience stores available for several blocks. On the one hand this is inconvenient, but on the other it is a lot more quite than other places I have stayed at. BTS Ploet Chitt is about 4 blocks away which makes it pretty easy to get wherever you want to go.

There is a very weird smell throughout the whole lobby and especially in the elevator. The rooms are totally fine and the staff is very friendly once you've connected with them!

Room was very old and tired looking. I don't expect such high standards for this price But do expect a little more cleanliness. I was given a room with key that didn't work so had to call housekeeping every time to let me in.

This is the worse hotel I booked from Expedia! No tooth brush toothpase and water was lukewarm. No shampoo and little sbower gel. Staff was rude and give wrong direction to mrt station. Hallway stinks! The place is too hard to find even for taxi driver or motorcycle! Area is not around tkurist very very long walk from mrt to hotel ally is dark and night just to get drink is q kilo away very dangerous walk at night horrible horible area. Breakfast has just juice and toast ripp off.

This hotel has a terrible smell and I was going to vomit when I stayed bc of the smells, their is md and mildew and this place gave me a lot of headache I was not happy with my stay at all I would appreciate a full refund for my stay

Considering we only needed a room for a night, we thought this would be ideal as it was cheap and close to where we needed to be for the following day........location, off the main road down a narrow alley, checking in was quick, reception didnt really speak.... room.....there was a hole in the wall, a lot of ants around, bed sheets had staines, bathroom was very basic, as though the room was purely for those in need of a place after picking up someone.

Bugs inside the room. Sink didn't drain. Breakfast was extremely minimal. It was supposed to be a $60 room special for I think $29. It was more like a $15 room.

Air conditioner in room didn't get cold despite being on the lowest temperature setting, there is a power point below the air conditioner that I charged my phone with, overnight the air conditioner leaked water onto my phone and caused water damage to my phone. The towels in our room were obviously once white, but now they were grey with frayed edges. Location isn't good, there isn't any taxis or motorbikes in the area and you're going to have to walk it to the BTS (~1 kilometre)

Very small hotel
Small room with no windows. Very basic and not very comfortable to sleep on however you pay for what you get thou it's convenient to the British Embassy as it's only round the corner. Don't expect any luxuries and staff have no concern about your stay. No security on site and safe facility is not safe as it's removable.

Breakfast...terrible. Room needs lots of maintenance. Drains smell and don't empty. Staff are not friendly and not helpful. Bad attitude. Too busy putting on make-up to answer questions. Do not bother. Only worth about $US15 per night for what you get. Total rip-off. Photos look nothing like the real thing.

Things you should know. Please read.
pros:- reasonable with a discount. Blackout curtains. Near to central chidlom and other shopping areas and quite near bts. cons:- the hotel is inside an alley, not all taxis know it and u gotta direct them and even then u gotta be on a lookout. lacking in facilities, no towel for outside door, no toothbrush/paste, no auto room clean or towels, gotta request. sounds travel loudly, you can hear people walking and talking outside. Might have to walk abit for a taxi or a motorcycle.

Not worth more then $15 a night .
People were ok there , the hallways look clean , but the room is not nice , first , super noisy, tight , cold shower , no glass separation with toilet , mold in room , rusted sinks , when showering toilet paper gets wet , super old towels , breakfast just bread , cereal and coffee, some diced apple that I didn't feel comfortable eating . I really don't recommend it , place doesn't look bad outside , but rooms need serious fast upgrades .

This was the worst hotel investment I have made in Bangkok. The room was dirty with stains of the comforter and pillow cases, and a dirty bathroom. My room was never seen by a housekeeper for the 3 nights I was there.

I've been staying at the Nantra Ploenchit for two years, almost every time I go to Bangkok. During this time I've seen the cleanliness of the rooms decrease. In the beginning I was undeterred, thinking that if the sheets and towels are clean, it's enough for me. But the black stuff in the corners of the bathroom is starting to stray to other areas, the counters in the room haven't been wiped down in forever, and then I pulled back the sheets to find long strands of hair that's not mine. I then checked the pillow cases and found eyelashes on them. The price for the location is hard to beat, so I'm not sure what I will do in the future, but I'll likely sacrifice the neighborhood and go elsewhere where reviews say the room and sheets are clean.

Pros: Affordable, new hotel, safe and accessible location, simple breakfast daily, free coffee/tea anytime of the day, safety deposit box in room, efficient aircon, fast wifi, shampoo and body wash provided, free bottled water inside room Cons: * only 1 key per room and we have to leave room key w/ reception everytime we leave *housekeeping upon request only.Housekeeping cleaning style is questionable as they did not even notice a syringe needle beside the glasses on desk (obviously from previous guests). Also they had the nerve to replace our floor towel with a badly torn and ripped towel. * same food for breakfast everyday * staff were not fluent in English and not really the most accommodating nor knowledgeable compared to other hotels within Bangkok. *no phone in room. Whenever you need something, you have to go down.

Initial room given was mouldy on the walls and bathroom, there is water leak at the fridge area and the floor was wet. A request to change the room was promptly acquiesced although room was upgraded with no mouldy walls, towels were fraying and very used, room was also not clean with hair on the table top, stains on the basin.

We stayed there 3 nights. It is in the Embassies area so it is quite safe. The public area in the hotel is clean and warm but the room is not. We see some stains on the wall of head bed and in the bathroom. The price is good. Finally, nothing to say about staff.

Best for Budget Family and Couple...
I am from India, Went for a Honey Moon in Bangkok. For a budget family please go for this hotel. It was supper, I say thanks to Hotels.com to put this first as per my budget. Morning breakfast was too good. Things to Change: Bathroom is not good, feeling like very small, some issues in the bathroom , drop water is coming in room number 303, Next to the building it was a free ground and full of trees and plants, because of that many insects and small earthworm we seen, Try to maintain good. But I was satisfied what I paid.
