Staff were friendly and attentive, even when dealing with difficult guests. However, the cleanliness of the facility, especially in the room showed neglect, likely due to the COVID-19 slowdown. The vent in our room had accumulated dust which contributed to my wife's constant sneezing; the showerhead had soap/grime stains; and a slew of really minor details just seemed off. They also, likely for cost saving/climate reasons shut off the AC outside the rooms, so once you stepped out of your room and into the elevator, you felt the Bangkok heat without the breeze. Would stay here again for the rate, location, and friendly staff, but don't expect a premier 5 star experience.

I understand that the hotel had been closed for two years and I was one of the first people to stay there since they re-opened so there was obviously a lot of work to be done around the place. Considering they claimed to be a five star hotel I was expecting more. The hotel is old and in disrepair. It needs a thorough spring clean, there hasn't been any maintenance done for two years. They were struggling to find enough staff. Some of the issues I experienced included, the safe not working, the door lock not working, the phone not working, no mini-bar, no satellite T.V. no milk for tea or coffee, no hotel guide or T.V. guide, no tissues in the room until the second week of my stay, the room not being cleaned unless I personally tracked down a cleaner each day. Every time there was a problem I had to go down to reception to get it resolved because the phone in my room didn't work. After several days of these problems I complained to the manager, Jamie, who was apologetic and I can sympathise with their situation being post covid. Most of these problems were resolved after several days however there was no offer of a discount or refund for the inconvenience and I expect more when a hotel passes itself off as being five star when they are clearly not.

Unfortunately o had a terrible stay at this hotel. Every single aspect was a mess. Bad hygiene, completely incapable staffโ€ฆ I was told later by the general manager that the hotel only just reopened a week before, but this should never be THIS bad, especially in a 5-star Pullman hotel. It was supposed to be a dream finish to my Thailand stay and it ended up being a nightmare.
