Studio 18 is right at the end of Soi 18, so a bit of a walk from the main road. This means that the area is quiet and peaceful, with a bit of a village feel. There are good places nearby for coffee and a choice of massage parlours, with some up-market restaurants and high-end hotels nearby while the main road offers a great selection of street food, shopping, night-life and the whole Bangkok experience.
The room is pleasant and comfortable, but does not have a telephone. The desk is tiny and for work I have to use a rather uncomfortable stool since no chair is provided. Wi-fi is included and usually works, although it is not a very fast connection, nor completely reliable.
There is no bar nor catering in the hotel, apart from a machine that gives free (but sweet) tea and coffee whenever you want it, and a 'fridge selling various drinks. Oh: there is no lift so you have to walk up and down the stairs.
