No greetings just pay deposit. No info given in room. Room freezing or hot. No safe in room. Not a friendly place. No bar or restaurant. No room service. No service of any type. F rating.

Nice hotel near malls.
No complaints, would definitely recommend. Great view (room on upper floor, tennis court side) Swimming pool doesn't get sun except in morning, water seemed clean but deck could be cleaner.

Great value.
PROS: Value, cleanliness, friendly staff, location next to malls, city view on one side, very quiet (for Bangkok). CONS: Internet is very good in lobby but very bad in rooms. And the lobby is inadequately air conditioned (although this might change with the current addition of a restaurant to the expanded lobby.) Plenty of low-end western restaurants in the mall and a Thai food court on the top floor of the mall, but no good restaurants within walking distance. Pool is in the shade; water seems clean but the deck and railings need to be cleaned to remove bird droppings. (Tennis court side has the good view.)

Nice hotel, good location, terrible staff
I have stayed here several times and liked it. The last time however, I needed to be at the airport at 5 am the next morning. I asked the lady at the counter if they could arrange a taxi for me at 4:30 am and if I could check out at that time of the morning. I was assured that all was good. When I came to the front desk at 4:30 am it was locked up tight, no one around, no cab. I found a security guard outside in the parking area who asked a young man from the Huamark hotel next door to run down to the street - about 2 blocks away - and hail me a cab. He did so and all was good. I won't stay at Thomson Residence again, but I will try the Huamark next door.

Large clean room, nice view on tennis court side
I had a really nice room on the 9th floor overlooking the tennis courts with a great sunrise and sundown view. It was a large, clean room that seemed nearly new, was very comfortable. The pool looked nice, the gym was old and rickety but adequate, but no air conditioning made it difficult to do a good workout. Right across the street from the rear entrance to the mall with all kinds of places to eat and grocery stores. I was told that the canal at the back of the building is a very nice and inexpensive way to get downtown. I saw some bicyclists turn around there also, so maybe a bike trail along the canal. Of many hotels in this price range I've stayed at in Thailand, this is one of the two best ones. Free wi-fi didn't work with my pc or cell phone. A wonderfully quiet place, great staff

Located far from city center however a 15 min walk to the train or if you are adventurous there is a canal boat stop right behind the hotel. Nice if you want access to the city without staying in the center.

Quiet, clean and convenient
Thompson Residence worked well for us, as it is a small, quiet hotel right next to a small mall. The staff is friendly and helpful, though small. As we checked out at an unusual and unexpected time, the desk clerk had gone home, but security was able to help us. The mall has several restaurants covering a variety of food, from Japanese to Western. The mall hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., but Starbucks for those in need of their coffee fix opens at 8:00. Our room was small, but clean, with a tremendous city view. There were two small tears in the duvet cover, probably caused by prior travelers who ignored the sign saying to please not put luggage on the bed, but the staff took note of them. Otherwise our stay was smooth and quiet.

These are self-serve apartments. There is a 2,000 Baht deposit. Cons: the closet did not have door handles on them making them difficult to open. The staff spoke very little English. Pros: It was close to a shopping mall with night markets and good street food. Good value for the price

Good but could include some improvement.
This was close to shopping and was a reasonable price. Sometimes, the towels were not replaced when the room was cleaned. Also, there were a few bugs that drove my wife crazy, but this is Bangkok. The counter help were friendly but their knowledge of English was poor which was very frustrating. Also the internet was very spotty. they need to upgrade this for business travelers which seems to be their clientele.

Away from the noise
Stayed for a couple nights while in Bangkok, a bit away from the hype of Koh San road but was easy to get there or Chinatown by taxi. The front desk was helpful with calling taxis which used meters- cheaper than flat rates- but otherwise didn't speak much English. Walking distance from two malls and lots of street food vendors. Would stay again if wanting to be away from the noise of partying tourists

Good place to lay low
Room was clean and quiet, and we slept great. Several food options are nearby also. It's agood place to lay low in Bangkok for a few days, but if you plan on using it as a base to see sights, know that it's a 20 minute walk or so to the airport train, and another 15-20 to major metro/BTS stops of interest. Overall, a real good value.

Safe, clean, and basic place for the frugal
My girlfriend and I stayed at this serviced apartment/hotel because it was located conveniently in Bangkok. There are two malls nearby, a movie theater, street vendors, street food, transportation, etc. As I have previously stated that this is a serviced apartment place. So please don't expect room service, concierge, nor a 24 hour front desk. There is 24 hour security and the neighborhood is safe. We liked this place because it was a basic and no frills accomodation. Grocery stores are nearby(one is 24 hours open) and we stocked up with food and beverages in our room. If you plan to stay in Bangkok for a long duration(+8 days) and are in a budget, I would recommend this place. FYI, there is a water taxi pier behind this location and it was a convenient option for transportation(faster and cheaper than a taxi, but limited hours of operation).

몆번을 이호텔에서 묵어봐서 이제는 아는친구집 같네요~~~종업원들도 아주 상냥하고 조식은 없지만 호텔문열면 바로 더몰이있어서 걱정 전혀 없답니다~교통은 택시나 썬셉수성보트로 다녔습니다~~보트 가격 짱!! 이곳에서 아속 나나 등등 12바트~ 한번 시도해보세요!!

スタジオルームに8泊する。センセーブ運河ボートを利用してナナにある学校へ通学する。ドアからドアで30分で通える。部屋は、清潔、広い、見晴らし良いで申し分無し。生活環境も隣にショッピングセンターがあるので便利で物価も安い。

タイ慣れしてる人ならok
タイに慣れている人はかなり楽しめるエリアだと思います。となりが、the mall　なので便利です。 昼間なら、すぐ裏手から船でプラトゥーナムまで渋滞しらず２０分ほどです。 湯わかしケトルある→なのにコーヒー、カップがない　　　大きすぎるくらいのクローゼットある→なのにハンガーない　　枕元にりっぱなスタンドある→差し込むコンセントない　部屋にティシュない、など、残念なところはありますが、フロントのスタッフなどはかんじよかったです。まあ、もともとアパートなので、自分で備品用意してるなら、問題はまったくないと思います。

Очень доброжелательный персонал, готовый прийти на помощь всегда. Тихое место, рядом река, тенесный корт, полно больших магазинов. В номере есть микроволновая печь, только жаль что нет никакой посуды вообще...
