the property was in a very good location there are plenty of restaurants nearby and the price of the room at $15 a night is unbelievable I'm always going to stay there I've never thought about staying in a hotel at that price but once I did it is a super Hotel they have very good food there they have a karaoke on the property it's a lot of fun

Their were cockroaches and bugs in our room. However, the owner was very nice. He had a newborn and he offered us water when we would come back to the room. It seemed like him and his wife were the only ones cleaning while the brothers would sit around and smoke down stairs. So I understand why the place is not very clean. But be aware there are other men who checks in customers and every time I would come back to the room they would be smoking down stairs in the check in area and would just STARE at us. It was very creepy. I think it is a family own business and he is one of the brothers.

Second time I stayed at the Vabua this year. With almost 2 months staying there I think my opinion means something. Great staff and a nice hotel at an affordable price. Will stay again soon.

Nice little number.
Good hotel a little off the tourist track. Good all round and easy access to the city. Beware late night taxis may not be keen to take you back at night. Just because of the distance. Local area has handy shops and chemists. Only thing this hotel misses is a pool. I’ve stayed here a number of time and will Ben returning.

Receptionist are not accommodating, no willingness to help. If you’re a tourist this is not a perfect place to stay. About an hour away from main attractions.

The location is great near food and Da Mall Bangkapi (the best mall in Bangkok), and the hotel is better than you would expect for the price

One of the best budget hotel from-to-airport
This is our small favourite hotel for fly out & fly back from the UK,comfy bed,good service,close to the Mall shopping centre to shops for ur loves one,local speed boat to Central World or further to Grand Palace which is faster than take a taxi through the traffic.lots of food stores,restaurants close by.taxi to the airport only 200baht so I would recommend other to stay here

Stay away from this hotel.
The building exterior and lobby make it look inviting but no effort made to update guest rooms. Tacky rooms, no shower but a handheld hose with a shower head next to the toilet, felt unclean and creepy from the start. Elevator was to be out of order the next day and we were put on the 7th floor. Poor staff; seemed uninterested in our comfort level. Hotel staff was hesitant to return our money and a $600 Bhat deposit on the room keys when we told them the hotel did not meet our standards and was far less than what was presented on Expedia and the hotel website.

Vabua becomes one of my favourite hotel before i fly out and return,good value for a comfortable nights sleep and easy access by speed boat to Pratunam for shopping,Grand Palace and Kaosan rd for a day tour by yourself.Only down side at this stayed was lots of hairs under the wooden counter beside the television & cushion on the chair so if they could improve about cleanliness would be nicer.I would stay here again in the future

we got the room on the 9th floor over looking to the football stadium,clean,specious room for not expensive price and very friendly staff,free shuttle bus to get on a speed boat to Grand Palace,Kaosan Rd,Pratunam shopping center,close to the airport less than 200 baht and lots of great street food,restaurants nearby which very short walking distance or 60 baht by taxi,we are coming back to stay here again in the future

Fantastic stay. Hotel staff are super friendly and my room was very spacious. Executive suite worth the extra few dollars. If you are in Bangkapi i highly recommend!

First 2 days a.c. was not working properly but later I shifted to another room. That room a.c. and overall conditions were perfect. I really enjoyed the hospitality of Vabua asotel hotel's management.

Quiet hotel away from tourist areas
A little out of the way (especially factoring in Bangkok's terrible traffic), but the staff and facilities are good. The rooms are a decent size and cleaned daily by friendly staff. A restaurant downstairs serves a combination of western and Thai food and is relatively inexpensive. Karaoke is available 24/7 and there is an outdoor dining and bar area. Most of the staff have a basic understanding of English. Wifi is available for a small fee, we were lucky enough to get complimentary wi-fi; it's not fast but worked better in the room than the True 4G mobile broadband. There is a TV with a good selection of Thai programming and a couple of English language channels. Our credit cards didn't work at the ATMs located at the hotel, however they worked fine at the 7-11s located a few minutes walk away - and there are at least two on the road the hotel is on. The Mall Bang Kapi is a comfortable walk away, and Taxis are easy to get and cost about B60 to get there.

Great Hotel But Lousy Service
This hotel was very beautiful with nightly music. The room was amazing however the service in the restaurant was bad. The staff members spoke on English and didn't seem as they even wanted to serve English speakers. The front desk staff member who spoke English tried to help as best as he could but the hotel owner could not be reached although there is a post if any problems contact the a number I could not reach him at all. The location of this hotel was just bad and the staff could not offer any solutions for traveling around Bangkok. Although recently I've found out from a friend of mine that the river boat dock is close by so that is an option that could be offered to guest. Also they clearly advertise they have karaoke to English speakers but they don't have any English songs. I will say that if you have a person that speaks Thai then this is a lovely hotel. The biggest issue is the staff members are unable to speak English, so this makes things difficult. Tarrus Elliott

Supposed to be close to the airport ( 1.5 kms). More like 15kms. Nun description part of town, featuring motor bike shops. Indifferent staff and dodgy comings and goings between couples entering and leaving the private Karaoke rooms. Room however was clean and comfortable.

lots of room for improvement
disappointed room, far from city with heavy traffic taxi takes about 40 minutes. free wifi to 1 device only additional hand phone or laptop have to buy the wifi data for each device and which have to re-key in the password every 2 hours. really need to renovate the room and also the air-con compressor really vibrates every time the compressor kicks in

Clean place to stay.
We got good value for the price we paid! The Hotel has a good restaurant, especially if you are a meat eater. It is very close to several houses of ill repute, if that is your interest. Non of the folks we were with really enjoyed the Thai food. Next door is another Hotel that has a better breakfast. There are places to shop everywhere you look!

was a short stay we got in late so got to the hotel pretty much to eat and sleep. the food was ok but where we decided to sit we saw some pretty big rats frolicking around In the dish bin sooo i lost my appetite quite quickly. The bedroom was good enough for 3people. AC was great washroom was an all in one! shower and sit on the toilet lol

Friendly and intimate atmosphere
For those with business in eastern Bangkok the location is fine, but expect to use taxis. However, you can quickly and cheaply get to central BKK from Wat Klang Pier just down the road. All of the staff are great and the service is friendly and professional. Choose a suite room. The patio restaurant/bar area is nice October to January when it's a little cooler!

Affordable Hotel rate. During day time, we are all out. Hence, just need an affordable hotel rate for the night stay. Food was definitely great. Live band in the evening keep us entertained. Room was spacious with King size bed n mattress.

Nice hotel far from the action.
I loved my room. Good value for the money but it was far from the excitement so most of what I saved went to taxis. The food was ok but not great. Often cold when delivered by room service. Hotel is guest friendly. They only give you one wife password for one device and you have to login a lot. Do not lose your password. The tutut could go farther. I didn't think location would be a problem because of the advertised tuttut but when I tried to use it I found out it only goes a couple blocks away.
