For us, the highlight of this hotel was the staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home and were always happy to answer any questions we had. The hotel itself is lovely, and our room was quite comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and offers both Asian and western options. We especially enjoyed the noodle soup and all the different juices and fresh fruits that were available. The pool was a great way to relax and cool off, although it gets somewhat crowded during the day, so we mostly visited in the early morning or evening. The hotel definitely seems safe and is in a quiet area. You can easily get a Grab pickup, so there are no issues with getting around, and there are restaurants within walking distance for variety.

The resort is beautifully manicured. The overall size was small enough to feel cozy. I like this feature more than really large resort. From my room to the pool and restaurant is literally a few steps away.

Love the Alantara, lovely small resort, staff are just beautiful, gardens lovely, pool nice. Only drawback is area, can’t walk to shops or restaurants, but easy to just call taxi. Will go back

The property was beautiful. The rooms were nice and clean and peaceful. A lot of young kids and families, so it wasn’t the quietest retreat type but it was nice to stay. The food was great. I would stay again. If I needed to stay in the city to be close to the airport. It took approx 20 min from the airport to the hotel. And that coat approx $30.USD

We liked this property and the attentiveness of staff. It's not in a very convenient area and it's pretty far from any beach or attractions. Worked well for home base to scuba out of a Sanur dive operation.

The best ever experience, friendly staff, amazing property and lovely landscaping. It will be impossible to find another better place in Sanur. Excellent breakfast and dining options. Already booked our return visit!

It was too far from anywhere and their shuttle only went every 2 hpurs, should go hourly and where they drop you isnt great they should have more than 1 stop.

Really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The staff were fantastic. The hotel is a cheap taxi ride or a 15 minute walk away from the main area. Value for money and how lovely the hotel is compensated for it being out of the main area. There is a free hotel shuttle into Sanur. Would definitely stay here if you’re looking for value for money, we found the walk into Sanur added to our experience.

This property is truly a hidden gem. Staff was super inviting and warm. All helpful and seemed genuinely happy. The food at the restauraunt for breakfast lunch and dinner was great! Would stay again.

Love the peaceful and serene vibe of this resort. Staff was helpful and friendly and very genuine. My husband had issue with the safe setting and they immediately turned up to help when we called. All the services was quite prompt. Room was comfortable and nicely equipped with all the necessities. Only comment is that water will sip out from toilet during shower to the room. Just due to the design of the bathroom door. And shuttle bus could perhaps be improved to hourly instead of every two hours. Spa and massage is highly recommended too.

Had an amazing stay here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff were so friendly and amazing truly made the stay even better. Ika at the restaurant was incredible. The spa is beautiful and the treatments are endless. I definitely recommend getting a massage from Sri as she literally gave me the best massage of my life!

I don’t have enough good things to say about my stay here. Travelling solo as a woman in Bali, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect but the staff at this property made me feel so safe and welcomed. The hospitality here is truly unmatched and the place itself is gorgeous. Rooms are very clean, staff are courteous and respectful, pool is amazing, food is great.. It’s a great stay. The free shuttle to the city centre/Sanur Beach is awesome and runs every 2 hours from 9am-9pm- which is wonderful. Huge shout out to one of the sweetest, most hospitable staff members, Ita, who not only made my stay very memorable and fun but also taught me so much about Balinese traditions and culture. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at The Alantara. All the staff where lovely. Hotel is kept nice and clean. They even brought my mum a surprise birthday cake on her birthday 😊 and helped to come up with a different idea for her surprise floating breakfast as it was raining (Thank you!). We will definitely be staying here again when staying in Sanur.

This is my second time back to Bali and Lembongan in the lady 2 months! I did look at other hotels listed on Hotels.com and came back to the Palms Grove!! super was here and remembered me from over 2 months ago and asked about my family… I would highly recommend this beautiful resort!!! I even extended my trip!

A wonderful resort
What a wonderful resort. Fantastic staff, all super helpful, attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent, breakfast was fantastic and we really appreciated the complimentary afternoon tea. The cultural night and the acoustic Performances were terrific for an evening in. The accompanying buffets were delicious. The pool is so clean and fresh and was the centre of many of our activities. Our room was was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable. Our room was spotless and very well appointed- the gardens and grounds were lush and beautifully maintained. The spa was a divine indulgence, brilliant and offered a range of treatments with first class service. The 2 Hourly shuttle to town was very convenient for popping into the town centre and returning to enjoy the comforts of the resort. This was a much needed relaxation and wind down holiday and the Alantara and staff provided all that we needed. I really liked having the cat and I love that the staff care for them. I loved everything about the Alantara and would return in a heartbeat.

This little boutique hotel is a real gem. Stayed there 2x on my visit to Bali before moving to another part of the island. Although not directly on the beach, it was a real pleasure to stay here. The staff could not have been nicer or accomodating. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The room was absolutely beautiful, down to the burgundy and gold bath robes. I stayed in a suite and a regular room and both were very nice. Only one thing, wish there was international channels on the TV. Will definitely stay here again!

Hidden Gem of a Hotel
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. It has a boutique hotel feel. The staff was very friendly, remembered your name, and, was very helpful. I liked the location, as, it was off the"beaten path". The hotel is smaller but the rooms are beautiful and very well appointed. Very happy. We will stay here again! It was a real pleasure and helped make our trip very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel in a good location.
I was in Bali with my family for a wedding. I stayed in Alantara for 4 nights in a "suite" which included a bath tub and an outdoor shower. Overall the hotel is beautiful and all the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant is good, but not great. The gym is a bit dated, but is good enough. The hotel also has a spa which is nice. When first arriving at the hotel I thought we'd gone the wrong place. It is on a small street in a residential neighborhood. It isn't close to the beach, but offers a free hourly shuttle bus. We used it to go to restaurants and shops, but never went to the beach. We had no problem finding good restaurants nearby. We did a few day trips to the Bali Zoo, Bali Bird Park, and Bali Reptile Park (the kids like animals...) and they were all within 30 minute taxi ride from the hotel.

Very nice property, except sound was a problem. Very loud music and shows made it difficult with a child as the music would go until 10PM most nights. Being right near the pool, we could hear everything form outside in our room, be it kids in the pool or adults sitting around the pool at night listening to the music. Location wise was not the easiest to walk to anything either. Needed to have a car-moto-or rely on shuttle. Food was good flavour and variety, but I got food poisoning that kept me in the room for a full day.

The staff were very nice and chatty. The setting is pleasant and off the main road so pretty quiet. Rooms were clean. Nice little touches like a welcome drink and flowers and fruit. The spa treatment was good. Menu was good. The airport transfer was good. The only thing that annoyed me about the hotel was the other guest’s lack of manners/ consideration when using the pool. (This is not the staff’s fault). The pool is central and most rooms look on to it, the restaurant looks on to it, and the only bar is the double sided swim up bar, so if there are squealing people in the pool you can’t get away from them.

After enjoying Bali and Gili Air we booked just one night in this beautiful hotel. Nice pool area and good food. A bit out of season and not fully booked, but great service and food in the restaurant.
