We had a very relaxing couple of days here. However, there are a few things travellers should be aware of when they book (things I didn't realise) and may or may not have changed our decision to stay here, including:
- the hotel is still under construction with only 15 of the 37 planned villas completed; there were workman on site during our entire stay (Thursday to Sunday) and we were located opposite villas being constructed meaning there was construction noise (grinders, banging, sawing etc.). We didn't find this overly obtrusive when we were in our villa but some people may and laying on a sun lounge, I would have preferred it wasn't there at all.
- the beach that hotel is on was very rough with large waves during our stay. The beachfront where the waves crash out the front of the hotel is rock and therefore the sound of the ocean is very loud - a calm and relaxing beach we did not find it.That said, this could be seasonal.
-the restaurant at the resort was very limited; while there are different menu variations for breakfasts, lunch and dinner menu is the same. Also, that menu seemed to be a strange mix of fusion options. I would like to see more traditional Balinese/Indonesian also vegetarian options- there was only one vegetarian option on the menu. We could order say mi/nasi goreng without meat but was special request having to explain each time, with varying degrees of success.
-travellers with issues walking up/down and stairs may want to consider alternatives.
