"We had a wonderful stay at The Lapis Hotel. The room and facilities were immaculately clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a very early 4:00 AM checkout, and they still prepared breakfast for us to take away, which was a really thoughtful touch. Everything about the experience felt professional and warm. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Hanoi!

"This was a great place to stay. Staff were lovely and work very hard. The whole place was immaculate and housekeeping do an amazing job.
If there is any room for improvement i would suggest a roof garden or pool along with information about the area would have been a great addition to the experience."
"I loved staying here. The rooms were large and nice and the breakfast at the hotel was amazing. Central to the city and walking distance from the lake and parks and great food. I’m definitely staying here next time. The owners are great people"
"Very good service from staff! Even helpong golf reservation. Good hints of near by restaurants. Nice shop in downstairs, open 24/7.
Breakfast delivered to room, very tasty.
I will be back!"
"The bed was very comfort and we could sleep very well. The view of the lake was also great, nice atmosphere. Staffs were so kind! Highly recommended hotel in Hanoi:)"
"The accommodation is well worth the price. The rooms are clean. The location is convenient, with many restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets nearby. The staff are very friendly and responsive."
"Nice and cozy apartment, but it may be better to:
1) enable the guest to select smoking/ non-smoking room when booking.
2) keep the outer roll up doors of the facility opened at least from 6am, though the manager is available on the phone number given in the check-in instructions and he asks the security to open the doors. I saw several guests wondering what to do when they saw the doors closed.
House keeping service is available basically when you put the trash in front of the room door."

"From check-in to checkout everything ran smoothly. The staff were always there to assist and the room was clean and tidy. Air conditioning was a relief from outside and the breakfast hit the spot. Well worth the stay. "
"Our family suite was very comfortable, large and luxurious, built in the new wing of the hotel. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Especially Jim, at the front desk gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants all of which turned out to be great. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Hoan Kiem lake, just minutes away from the heart of the old quarter. Highly recommended!!!"
"The hotel is excellent!! Location is walking distance to the lake and the church and multiple shops and restaurants of old quarter. The staff is amazing. Lilly at the reception was extremely helpful and nice. Accommodating all of our needs and providing recommendation for an excellent restaurant and making reservation for us.
Room is clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast is outstanding. Large variety, made to order food and fruit juices and amazing service.
Loved our stay and would stay again!"
"If you want a luxurious place to stay in Hanoi, The Sofitel Metropole Hotel should be at the top of your list. Built in 1901, it retains echoes of the French colonial era. The service was excellent throughout; from the reception to the breakfast area, and our favourite, the pool bar!
Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a smart TV that allowed us to connect to various services such as Netflix and You Tube. One minor point to note for visitors from the UK - the power point accept UK plugs without an adaptor, which is very handy indeed!
This was our second visit to Hanoi. We stayed here for 7 days this trip and we were very sad to leave! Thank you to the all the staff at the Metropole; thank you Hanoi and thank you Vietnam. We will definitely be returning."
Tamundi Alley Homestay - Dragon Teeth - The Old Quarter Ha Noi
10/10 Excellent
"Customer support is excellent. We love the place. The only "dislike" is it's a little tricky to enter the address to grab, you need to state "ngõ 2 Hàm Long", otherwise if you use your location, it will state "so 2 Ham Long""
"Fast & friendly check in and staff helpful. Great to have a dip in the pool after a long flight. Only stayed 1 night before an arranged tour but they kindly made up a breakfast box for our early departure "
"A lovely stay for 3 nights… the pool was refreshing given the heat and the aircon in the room was also much appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and the front desk were super helpful given our early arrival and to arrange taxis. We also used the free shuttle into the Old Quarter. "
