Grand Hotel Beau Rivage Interlaken

Grand Hotel Beau Rivage Interlaken

8/10 Good
"Beautiful hotel close to the Interlaken Ost station. We very much enjoyed our stay. There are a few things that suggest hygiene and cleaning could be improved (e.g., silver fish in the bathroom), and the wait for coffee at breakfast was extraordinarily long. Otherwise, it's a great hotel worth visiting."

Hotel Du Nord

Hotel Du Nord

10/10 Excellent
"The staff were amazing and very helpful. We had an early arrival and they stored our luggage until check in. We visited during high temps and were given an extra fan to use in room. They offered a travel converter for the outlets. Upon hearing we would have an early check out they asked if we would like a packaged breakfast to go. It was relaxing to have a balcony with views of the mountains and city where we could watch the paragliders land early in the day. The shower was wonderful with good pressure and no residue. Breakfast was good. More variety would have been better. Location was close enough to train station and restaurants and to coop for snacks. Once again, kudos to wonderful staff!"

"This hotel was within walking distance from the train station called Interlaken West. It is in an area with multiple restaurants, tourist shops, and a small grocery store (called coop) where we got drinks and snacks several times, including items for our breakfast. The hotel overall was clean, and our room was very clean. It was not luxurious, but it was fine. We were there at the end of July, and the weather was hot and humid. Our room did not have air conditioning. The room had 2 portable fans in it. There was a large window and a door to a small balcony, so we could open the window and door to let some air come in. However, on the ground level there were restaurants with outdoor seating, and when we wanted to go to sleep at 10:00 or 11:00 in the evening, the noise from people at the outdoor restaurant seating was very annoying if we (on third floor) had the window or door open. So, the choices were to put up with the noise of people talking and clanking dishes (it was surprisingly loud) or close up the window and balcony door and have a hot room. In cooler weather, this would not be a problem."
