First, the staff was phenomenal. We stayed six nights and they could not have been more helpful! The hotel has a lovely boutique feel in a big city, and is centrally located. A wonderful place to come back to after busy sightseeing days. I would definitely recommend this hotel to adults visiting Kyoto. I’m not sure it’s great for families but it was perfect for us as a couple.

Lovely hotel in a great location, with very helpful staff! One of the best features is the toilet that’s completely separated from the washroom. I would not recommend getting the breakfast. Better to go putside of the hotel.

Wonderful hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly staff with perfect English. The location is perfect, too, with many different sights in walking distance.

The location in the less hectic Gion area was perfect. The staff was incredibly kind and the room was huge and thoughtfully appointed. It felt like a splurge but was actually a good value. I highly recommend this small hotel.

This property was is such a good location. Right across from the river. There is a beautiful walking path along the river that you can take to get to any of the main streets of Kyoto. The hotel staff was so friendly & accommodating. I appreciated that this was a quieter part of Kyoto but, walking distance to any popular destination & amazing food spots! Would definitely recommend!
