It was one of the spacious property we had stayed at in Japan. Enough room to open up our luggage and without us bumping into each other. The beds were nice and comfy. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. It wasn't easy to find at first. Here on Expedia, you have it listed as OYO Hotel Musubi Kyoto Kiyomizu. But the sign out front of their establishment reads Guesthouse in Kyoto Kamo River Kyomizugojo. And depending on which search method you are using to locate this property, you may not be able to find this property. Also if your room window faces the main street, you hear the vehicles and people passing by. I highly suggest to add a night stand lamp or desk lamp and hooks for hanging up towels. We paid a city tax here as well. I am not totally sure how they decide and when to collect, as it's based on nightly room rates. We stayed at this property for 3 days, out of our 3 weeks Japan vacation. This was the only property we paid "city tax" at. The other properties we spent more nights at and paid higher nightly rates, but NO additional city tax. Here you must sort your own garbage and take out the trash. Not a big deal, but you need to clearly state on where we can put our bags out. You have location for bottles allocated in the hallway, why not spot for general garbage? Unless we missed it, and we would of asked had someone been at front desk. No direct transit access to/from Kyoto Station to nearest subway line.

Kyoto City is now imposing Accommodation Tax to those guests who stay at an accommodation in Kyoto city which there is an accommodation tax of 200 yen for any accommodations in Kyoto where the price per person per night is less than 20,000 yen. This tax will be payable when you check-in at the hotel. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. Last but not least, please allow us to thank you for leaving us a valuable review for us. Once again, we are sincerely sorry for not being able to make you feel satisfied with our service and facilities during your stay, but as we try to improve, we hope that you will consider staying with us again.

Great spot
Great spot, great experience. But the hair on the carpet, in the bathroom etc was unfortunate. That is, the room looked great and clean and fine, then I see the occaissional long black hair . . . maybe better for cleaner to wear a hairnet?

great stay!
Biggest room we’ve stayed in japan free laundry a big bonus a little bit of a walk but not really a problem cheeky city tax added but that’s Kyoto not the hotel. also free international call phone in room great for calling the rents for extra points!

Very very spaciyand so convenient having a kitchen to cook in you have to rent the pans at the front desk but work it and the Lawson’s just down the street has everything you’ll need along with transport around the corner! Highly recommend!

More of an apartment rental than a hostel or hotel. Big bedroom, washing machine, kitchen, full bathroom. Great location walking distance from major tourist attractions (Gion neighborhood, Kiyomizu Dera temple) and close to a subway stop.

It was an okay experience for us. The front desk was amazing, however the rest was not so much. The room smells a bit, the quilt was old and the bed was not that comfortable. That being said, it is an old and super affordable property, so you are get getting a good value. It’s very spacious with a nice sized kitchen so you can get some cooking done! I would recommend this to anyone that is not a clean freak like me! The unit was big enough for a family.

nice place for a quick overnight stay
nice place to stay for a quick overnight visit to Kyoto from the cruise ship--other reviews pretty much sum it all up--good location, but don't expect great comfort or luxury for the modest price you pay

A full apartment in a set up like a hotel. It had a kitchenette and laundry en suite (but you have to rent kitchen wares and buy laundry detergent) Room was clean and a very good size. On a quiet backstreet close to the subway and in between major tourist sites. Can not beat the price for the area and the amenities. We stayed 4 very comfortable nights. Would recommend!

Uncomfortable bed
Location was alright, close to bus stop, and local subway, which you have to take to get to any tourist destination. Beds were very hard and not comfortable. Size of the room was great with the comforts of home (washing machine, stove top, etc). You do have to rent pots etc to use the stovetop (500 yen).

2 nights in Rainy Kyoto
Beautiful city. Loved it! Location was accessible by walking to everywhere however bus and subway was close too. However google maps was incorrect with the address location and it took us an hour to find the place with the help of 2 locals. 1 mile to Gion and Kizomiju dera. Loved inari Fushimi shrine but everywhere there was packs of tourists and locals even on the rainy days.

Nice hotel
Place is very clean with a washing machine and interesting clothes drying system in the bathroom which actually works if you read the instructions properly! In spite of the room being clean we were bitten by something during the last night sleep but it wasn't serious and was gone after 2-3 days. Hotel staff is very pleasant and they will look after your luggage if your departure is in the evening. Also our room had a Dell PC which was quite useful mainly for charging using USB ports as we didn't have Japanese socket converter.

Amazing room with everything you need and more...even has a hob, microwave and washing machine! Quiet and easy to check in...really clean and comfortable. Highly recommended at a superb price.

Great Place in Kyoto!
Totally beat my expectations with this place - probably the best place we stayed on our trip to Japan. Very easy to find and simple self-check in/check out. The room itself was very modern and clean. It was also spacious compared to the other places (air bnbs) we stayed at. Loved the large shower room too hahaha. Thanks!

Nice clean hotel. Very spacious too!
This is a very nice hotel close to many sightseeings in Kyoto. We went walking to Kyomizudera temple, Nishiki Market and my husband loved to go walking to the old Nintendo building. Very nice place!

Honestly, the place is just fine. Nothing spectactular. Its clean enough, and comfortable enough. Its not great but its totally fine. The thing that is lacking is the service. After staying at so many japanese hotels with such great service, it was a bit of a shock. Kind of hostel vibes, can't be bothered to help attitude. They look really annoyed if you ask them anything... like why are you asking me to do my job.

Had a lovely time living in this guesthouse, designed like a japanese home, felt like we were home owners here! Comfortable and everything you need in a modern guesthouse. Really loved the self check in and out system! Only drawback was the bed was a little hard.

コスパ最高且つ静かで清潔
清水五条の駅や五条坂のバス停も近く便利。歯磨きセット、シャンプーリンスもあり、無かったのは髭剃りだけかな? TVは BSが入らなかったが、WiFiは問題なく使えて、掃除も行き届いていて満足でした。価格もリーズナブルなので是非次の機会にも利用したい。

ワンルームマンション型のビジネスホテル
京阪電車の清水五条駅から徒歩5分。 17時〜翌9時までフロントが閉まるので、ちょっと心配でしたが、22時まではフロント前の直通電話で対応してもらえます。 タオルやティッシュなど、部屋置きのが足りなければ自由に使える様に各階に置いてあります。スタッフの気配りが感じられました。 部屋に冷蔵庫、湯沸かしポット、マグ、洗濯機、コンロ、流し、も有りますが、調理器具・食器はレンタルです。レンジはボヤ騒ぎがあったとか、全室取外してありました。必要であれば借りられるそうです。 部屋は必要最低限の物は揃えてあるので、あとは各自が自分のスタイルで必要な品を足せば良いと思います。無駄がなく、その分コストを下げて、正解だと感じました。 コンビニは清水五条駅付近に有ります。

コスパ抜群な滞在型
ホテルの場所が表示された地図(京阪清水五条の真上を指しているので訂正お願いします)と違い、かなりの人に尋ねたけど誰もがこの名前を知らないとのこと。電話しても通常のホテルではなくフロントに繋がるわけでもなく自動音声だけですごく焦りました。 結果的に10時半になってようやくたどり着いた(ホテルの名前が変更されてるのか⁈)ところ、設置してあった電話にはすぐ出ていただき、鍵を受け取れようやく安心できました。 室内は賃貸マンションのようで、IHコンロにレンジに洗濯機がありお風呂とトイレも別で、上階の音も静かでとても快適でした。 一度利用して場所が分かると問題なしです! なのでまた来週泊まらせていただきます(^ ^)v

前の人のゴミがそのまま
大きく分けて、不満が2つある。①つは、清掃、②つめは、スタッフの対応である。 ①キッチン下の棚に、りんごが2つ入ったビニールがそのままあった。清掃が行き届いてるとは、言い難い。 ②外出の際、指定の宿支払い料金入れを、指定のロッカーに入れ、暗証番号をバラバラにした。 しかし、後方から突然「鍵の番号覚えてないでしょ!」とスタッフに怒られた。用事もないのに、そのスタッフが促すため、目の前でロッカーを開けた。 その後スタッフに、ロッカーには、指定の支払い袋しかないことを見せたら、「ごめんなさい、鍵を入れたと思ったの。番号は、忘れて」と言われ、ただの時間ロスとなった。スタッフの対応に時間をとられ、予定がずれた。

宿泊費が安く、立地も最高でした。
祇園に近く、観光に便利な場所にあります。 駅からも近いので、京都市内を観光するのに重宝する宿です。 部屋の中も綺麗でベットも寝心地がよかったです。 また泊まりたいです。

駅から徒歩3分程度の立地にあり、どこへ行くのも便利です。 近くには飲食店があり食事に困ることはありません。 祇園からも近いので、観光にもいい宿になるでしょう。 宿泊費も安いですし、また利用させて頂きたいです。

후기입니다!!
체크인 시간이 16시부터 22시까지이고, 카운터 시간이 9시부터 17시까지라 체크인 걱정을 했습니다. 다해이도 로비에 수화기가 있어서, 수화기를 들면 직원분에게 전화할 수 있더라구요. 로비에 있는 라커에 숙박하게되는 열쇠가 들어있는데, 그 라커의 비밀번호를 알려주십니다. 시설은 한국사람이시면 모텔과 펜션을 섞었다고 생각하시면 편할 것같습니다. 룸안에 인덕션과 세탁기가 있어서 베낭여행다니시는 분이라면, 옷 세탁 걱정은 안하셔도 될것 같습니다. 세탁세제는 없어서 따로 구비해야됩니다. 크게 불편한 점을 꼽으라면 콘센트의 위치인것 같습니다. 침대에서 멀리 떨어져있어서, 충전하면서 사용하기는 불편할 것 같습니다. 이용하실 의향이 있으신 분에게 도움이 되었길 바랍니다.

콘센트가 없어서 너무 불편 있는 곳이 쓰레기통 있는 구석에 하나 있음. 쓰레기통 다 치우고 구석에서 충전 평소 밥 먹거나 이야기 하면서 핸드폰 보는 건 있을 수 없음. 선 긴 멀티탭을 준비 했어야 했는데, 이런 건 생각하지도 못했음 우리나라처럼 아무 호텔이나 가도 침대 옆에 콘센트가 다 있는 줄 알았음. 렌지는 다 있는데 그릇 등 도구들이 하나도 구비되어 있지 않음. 전자렌지말 사용 할수 있고 다른 건 이용 불가. 사용하고 싶어도 도구가 없어서 사용 못 함. 거울도 없음. 거울도 화장실, 현관 입구만 있음. 화장대가 없음. 너무 불편 가운 없음. 잘 때 입을 옷 챙겨 가야 함. 화장실은 깨끗하고 좋음. 화장지도 많이 준비 해두었음 수건 또한 마음껏 사용할 수 있도록 준비되어 있음. 위치가 좋음. 교통 편리. 기요미즈테라, 기온과 가까워서 걸어서 왔다 갔다 할 수 있어 좋음 후시미이나리도 가까워서 좋음.
