A short few minute walk away from Kyoto Station. Friendly staff to greet you from the moment you arrive and every time you leave and come back too. We got the three twin bed plus futon pull out room for a family of two adults and two children ages 7 and 5. It never felt too cramped or small. The hotel has laundry, complimentary drinks (coffee and juice usually) during the day. An onsite onsen was quite nice. You can check how busy it is using the TV as well. A 7-11 right across the street for easy food. A taxi service nearby in case you don't feel like taking the public transportation. The only thing I would ding it for was a bit of a lingering odd smell in the bathroom. Didn't smell bad, didn't smell great, not sure I could pin it exactly. But not a deal breaker at all. Would recommend for those that want a place close to the major station!

This is the best hotel in Kyoto. Breakfast buffet was the best in the town. I was very happy to stayed in this hotal .

Of all the places we stayed at on our 2 week Japan trip, this is my favorite place for a mid-price hotel. I like it that it has a little of space to hold a sofa (fold out futon which we didn't need) and coffee table. There is a public bath with a hot stone room for guest. You can find out if the laundry machine, breakfast, and public bath is busy or not from the TV. Fresh towels and bottle water everyday. Bed is comfortable and so is provided pajamas. We opt for the buffet breakfast which has a nice variety of food that are all pretty good.

Nice newer hotel in excellent location
Excellent location 2 blocks from the main train station but in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms are small but nice. Breakfast buffet was very good with many different dishes, western style and Japanese. Hotel gets very busy, even in November so we didn't get to try out the onsen.

Good location with Kyoto station just across the road. The public bath can be quite crowded though but good feature to hv the crowd status info you can view on the hotel tv channel

Just next to the station .. convenient location .. the room they gave us was not well located though .. by the end of the corridor in a corner .. I didn’t like it because there was a ventilation opening on the ceiling smells like cooking oil which was really annoying every time I get in and out of the room But the room was spacious .. very well equipped I would highly rate it

It's one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Quality of everything in the hotel was great, and the public bath included a very hot sauna and cold plunge. Unfortunately, my partner could not say the same as the women's side did not have the same bath accommodations as the men's side; they had smaller pools, no sauna, and no cold plunge.

The biggest advantage is that the accommodation is close to the train station and close to department stores and convenience stores. The staff responded kindly, some of them spoke Korean, and the cleanliness of the accommodation was satisfactory. The indoor facilities were very up-to-date and the slightly oriental-style beds were comfortable. The free public bathhouse facilities provided by the accommodation were a great help in relieving the fatigue of the day. If I come to Kyoto again, I would like to stay at this hotel again.

This was the most perfect stay for our trip to Kyoto. It was steps from Kyoto station and a 7-eleven. The room was super clean and spacious! It even had a balcony. We enjoyed free drinks every night and a relaxing public bath. They also held our luggage for us, free of charge, when we arrived before the check in time.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Royal Twin. The location is hard to beat for convenience to Kyoto station, and the room was comfortable, staff was very considerate and spoke English, and we loved having the onsen available after a long day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends.

Everyone at the hotel was kind and helpful. We need help shipping our luggage and they arranged all of it for us. It started to rain while our stay and they had umbrellas for us to borrow. The hotel is beautiful and loctated so close to Kyoto Station.
