There was no heating on the floor we stayed and this was on the coldest night of the year so far! We had to spend the Friday night in our room under the duvets in our coats and hats and gloves! Not the best 50th birthday surprise I was planning for my sister!

Luxury Liverpool
Fantastic stay in central Liverpool with an LFC theme. Loved the Jacuzzi bath, although I can't help wondering what Bill would have made of all the luxury :-)

Comfortable, reasonably priced
We only stayed one night and overall it was a comfortable stay, the room was lovely with a stunning bathroom. It was a shame the dressing table was looking very tired and out of place with the rest of the furniture, the pillows on the bed were very flat so could do with replacing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was a little chaotic as there was so many guests and nowhere to sit but the staff did their best to accommodate everyone.

This property was a perfect distance from the train station. It was easy to get to the major attractions including popular bars and clubs like the Cavern Pub. The room was clean and as expected but the WIFI was horrible. Could not get wifi in the hotel room and could only use it in the lobby. Just something to be aware of if you are staying here.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was AMAZING! The food was delicious. Overall, the perfect night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Liverpool. 5 stars all round.

Could not believe how nice our room was for the money.We had a room with 2 large double beds + 2 bathrooms.One bath you could fit at least 3 people. Conveniently positioned. Definitely stay again when in Liverpool

The 1st day we arrived at the shankley hotel we were greeted straight away. Staff were very welcoming. Got to our room noticed lots of burn marks on the carpet and room was in need of a refurbishment.The carpet was wet but assumed this had been carpet cleaned. Reported this to reception and the receptionist was going to send up the house keeper but we thought this had already been done, so not to worry. The following day I could smell urine on the carpet. Reported this immediately and we were upgraded. The lady behind reception was brilliant and couldn't apologise enough. The room we were moved to was beautiful. Although was still modified that we were in a room where someone had urinated on the carpet right next to the bed, left feeling let down as this was a present for my mums 70th birthday.

Lovely hotel good for a girls stop over only fault is lenght of time it.took to check in at desk even tho checked in online then meaning didnt have time to put bags in room before heading out to a reservation so desk said concierge would put.bags in for us only to find that wasnt the case when we arrived back and had to wait for the bags to be found. But thats our only criticism staff are friendly, hotels nice, beds comfortable value is good.

The hotel was centrally located. I had a huge room with a jacuzzi. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly . I would definitely stay there again.

Good hotel a short distance from the station , great lobby area , the suite I had was very dark but big and everything you would need, some areas looked a little tired and the lifts were temperamental, small details on the whole a good value hotel

Great location, funky hotel. Only issue was there was no in-room WIFI, apparently it was having issues. A bit annoying as I didn't have a UK data sim-card. I stayed here for Eurovision and it was a great location, very well organised and friendly staff. Clean and modern.

Very misleading costs
Loved the room and the decor of the hotel. What spoilt the experience was. I had paid for the party room up front but when I got there I was asked to pay another 300 pound .I did not mind as the receptionist said it doesn't go anywhere as it was in holding. But when I checked out I noticed it had gone from my account putting me in a overdraft which cost me £17 . I feel this was very misleading I was also told it could take up to 4 days to go back into my account which will cost me more .

The building was nice and good location to the centre but rooms was plain and windows was all handles removed so unable to open. Bathroom doors was tired and dinted. Tv didn’t work. Had sereral problems with room keys not working and friend of ours was give a room that someone was still using. Could have been embarrassing but they was out when our friend walk in the room.

Great locale and a bit quirky
Hotel staff was helpful with my stay. The hotel itself and room were clean, albeit quirky with the decor. And very spacious for a solo traveler with its one king bed and two twins. The large tub/shower was more designed for baths since it had no shower curtain, but you get used to it. And surprising the room had another larger tub, probably for another couple sharing the room. Location was great as it was a 10 minute walk or so to Mathew St. where the pubs are and 15-20 minutes to Albert Docks. Lime St. train station was about 10 minute away. They do have a £50 deposit, which is listed. But what was not listed was certain cards are not allowed. Unfortunately, what I used to pay (Chase) for the stay was not allowed for the deposit. They're able to waive it eventually after discussions, so just be aware.

Amazing room
Outstandingly beautiful room, especially loved the jacuzzi bath. The room was huge and great to have a mini kitchen included. The down sides was the poor WiFi, tv and in room speakers. The night staff also were quite unprofessional and unapproachable, most nights they stoof on front desk playing rap music and laughing at guests. The room made up for this though. I wouldn't pay bfast it was pretty lackluster. The decor and setting of the hotel was really however. I did try to ring the hotel a few times with accessibility questions before the stay and could never get through.

Nice hotel. Bit quirky. Felt like we'd booked a fairy princesses room on the fifth floor. All pink and elaborate mirror frames and headboard on the huge bed. Mirrors on the ceiling above the bed and the room was named lust. Double jacuzzi was nice. Staff were lovely & friendly. Would stay again. Reasonably priced and nice buffet breakfast in the Bastion restaurant.

Parking was straightforward using parkphone app. Friendly check inn. Disappointed roof top not open. Good location close to Liverpool one and matthew street. Highlight having double jacuzzi which we used twice.
