"We had paid extra to stay in a corner room, based on the photos on the website offering river views. We had a view of the buildings opposite and the road outside reception! Not impressed as I felt this was false advertising on their part. The room was modern and enough room but the bed was really hard and uncomfortable. The bar doesn’t have any drinks on tap and bottles and spirits are limited. It was a fair walk from the tube station, which meant we did pay out for a few taxis during our 4 day stay. "

"The Good: nice towels, clean, nice breakfast with many choices, very courteous porters; good location near Victoria Station The Bad: a lobby overrun with guests awaiting to check in at 3pm, just awful; 2 petulant check-in clerks; a single occupancy room so small that the chair could not be pulled from the desk because of the proximiry to the bed, the small refrigerator door could only be opened half way; absolutely no space to open suitcase except in the hallway in front of the bathroom and room doors; the single rooms are isolated from the rest of the rooms and at the end of the hallway (think past 18 rooms, outside the hallway and next to a secondary elevator); banging on the ceiling and windows for several hours every night. Spoke to the manager, he was dismissive and offered an upgrade for an additional £60. It’s not about the upgrade, it’s about providing the BASIC amount of space - enough room to be able to open luggage, even the luggage rack could not be opened without restricting the ability to move in the room. I asked the manager to come to the room and see for himself and his response is that he “knew” the room. Obviously he has never stayed overnight in the room and said he was “very busy”. I checked out a day early after having prepaid my stay; the night manager offered a better room but frankly I was done with this hotel. Never again with a RIU hotel. "

"The staff was very helpful and moved our family to a larger room, which was very comfortable. The location by the Thames river was excellent as well."

"The staff were really nice, the room itself was very spacious and nice. however, the shower in our room leaked and soaked the bathroom floor. The breakfast had run out of a lot of things he such as granola, yoghurt and the hot food was just slightly warm. The location was good and very quiet. "

"Lovely spacious, clean room. Good level of soundproofing, no noise from surrounding rooms. Excellent location 6mins walk from Covent Garden Tube Station & 5 mins from the Adelphi Theatre. Breakfast was good, attentive staff and the usual cooked and continental options"
