"We visited with our two little girls on their first vacation, and the Sandos Caracol crew really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had meal accommodations, and fast responses to all of our concerns that came up. The waterpark was spectacular for our kiddos being 3 and 6. The concierge and managers put on a meet and greet to get feedback from the guests, and were super earnest about making sure we felt at home and were heard. Samantha and Melisa both really stepped up, and you'd be lucky if either ends up being your Guest Experience Agent! We're definitely coming back! There were a few things that some travelers may not like. --- It's an eco resort, and there's animals everywhere, that means limited room service and outdoor meal access to prevent issues. - The menu selection outside of specific hours made it tricky to get simple foods for the kids when they were hungry. An example is the all day Taco bar offers Cereal...but only early morning and after 11pm. Even adding simple snack foods alongside tacos there during the day would've made the whole stay much easier for our little ones. - The resort has great amenities for kids, but isn't sized for them. Even adding a simple step stool into the rooms would have enabled them to wash their own hands, reach the soap, etc without needing to climb on a suitcase. - The Laundry service was really fast and efficient, but the form to sign off on things is outdated and a bit confusing in English. "

"Our stay was excellent! We stayed in privilege which was well worth the upgrade! Our butler was Alan and he was amazing! He checked in with us regularly to make sure we didnt need anything, if we wanted to make a reservation at any of the restaurants or anything else we needed. He even went above and beyond finding something for me off the resort and bringing it to me! We will definitely be back. "

"We had such a wonderful stay! All the staff were super welcoming and helpful. The property was very well maintained. Our room was very spacious with plenty of storage space. The room was also cleaned each day thoroughly, and we never ran out of towels. The minibar was also kept filled. The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. We had a room with a tub and a jacuzzi on the patio, but we did not end up using them as we could not get the water to warm up more than just a bit - this would've been fine during the hot summer, but was a bit too cold to enjoy at the start of December. We spent a lot of our time at the adult side pool, where the pool bar bartender, Rene, was fantastic! He had our drink order memorized right away, day after day. Juan Carlos was also so fantastic in ensuring we enjoyed our stay, celebrating our anniversary and both of our birthdays! He ensured we had reservations at the restaurants, and each dinner was just superb! We took advantage of the coffee bar every day, and enjoyed our cappuccinos at the buffet! If you regularly use the gym, just note that it is a little small and gets filled up during the early morning, but generally clears up late morning. The main walkways throughout the property had many photo ops! And were all just so lovely. The walkway to the beach is just as lovely. Definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a beautiful place to relax!"

"Highly recommend this property. Location is perfect, with next to no traffic, entrance to public beach just across the road, and just a short sraight shot, within walking distance, to 5th Ave. If you're in to exercise, you can literally start your run, walk, biking, etc...right outside your door; you won't be alone, seems to be a common route, as the majority of roadway is pedestrian only. Service is great, very attentive. As others have said, the coffee is delicious, as well as the fresh squeezed orange juice, both of which are included with breakfast, which was included in our stay, for which we could order off the menu; everything is delicious and good serving size. Loved the open air feel/atmosphere of not just the restaurant area, but the stairwell to the rooms, as well. The rooms are plenty spacious, bright, and quiet. Staff did excellent job of keeping our room immaculate every day we were there, fully restocking soap, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, etc... when needed. We loved relaxing in the hammocks on the rooftop. Oftentimes we came in late at night, and each night there was personnel on the other side of the door. This was very reassuring and gave us a sense of security. If in area again, we would definitely stay here again. No complaints and very affordable. "
