"Everything and everyone was amazing! Only complaint, the canal view room, pointless. You can’t see the canal unless ur an nba player or you travel with a step stool. You open window and blocking your view is part of the wall and flowers. Location is perfect and the staff was amazing. Room was clean and spacious!"

"The hotel was in a perfect location & very well maintained. The room was very comfortable, quiet, great bed. The hotel arranged for out water taxi from the airport & to the train station when we departed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! Nice variety, very well prepared, breakfast area was quite attractive. The desk personnel were fantastic! Very friendly, incredibly helpful, & really focused on ensuring that your stay was perfect. We will miss the hotel as much as Venice itself!"

"Central hotel, no kettle in the room to make a drink, no air-conditioning in the room till 1st may unbearable. Bedroom furniture dated. Decent breakfast provided.The staff are very helpful though and friendly. "

"Quite the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Staff rude, unhelpful and hotel definitely not as advertised. Supposed to be 4star this could only be due to location it’s certainly nothing to do with staff, amenities or rooms. Initially ignored by reception and as early our superior room wasn’t ready but our friends standard room was so able to leave luggage in their large triple bedded room with modern bathroom. Returned later to be allocated 108 which was dark, small, dirty and with a shower room that had a shower with curtain around it. Hole in towel, bed like a shelf, hard pillows, air con not operable til May which given room was 23c was uncomfortable. Tried to shower but no hot water, tried to unpack but 2 yes 2 coat hangers and 2 drawers filled with blankets. Requested more hangers, 2 more were brought and 2 more hard pillows! Asked to move rooms and queried no hot water but no apology and just that engineer was in fixing water situation. Told we could change rooms next day. Day 2 - offered room 103. Overlooked canal so at first glance ok but actually this was a single room with a single bed and a pull out bed next to it. Virtually impossible to exit bed, shimmy around tv to go to equally dated shower room in night. No headboard, slightly softer bed and pillows but nowhere near a superior room. This hotel is falsely advertising their rooms which are dreadful and only worthy of a star due to its location. Do not stay here"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in an excellent location right by the main square. The breakfast was plentiful and everything was always topped up without having to ask. I was disappointed that the air conditioning had not been turned on (this is what I was told when I asked) this resulted in a very hot room making it uncomfortable. We opened the windows but that of course let the mosquitos in! The tea and coffee etc in the room was not replenished daily and we had to ask for fresh supplies. The hotel was not cheap and air conditioning is essential. Be prepared for some noise from the street below when the shops open their shutters early in the morning and visitors are walking past."
