It’s feels humid all the time! No private showers! There’s one elevator that takes forever. You have to leave everyday at 10am no matter what and you can’t comeback till 2pm. Like what???? I’ve been staying in hostels all over Japan but this one was by far the most annoying one! The last days took my losses and booked another hostel because I couldn’t stand it! Don’t recommend at all!

Good location. Within mins to Gotanda station. Have to leave luggage at front desk. But you do get a personal locker. You have to checkout daily from 10am-2pm. So you leave your luggage at front desk and put some items in locker. The rest you have to take with you. Shower and bathroom is shared. Just some things to know if you stay here.

I had an excellent experience at this capsule hotel. I felt safe leaving my things in the lobby. The staff were helpful and explained the rules of the facilities during initial check in. Knowing that this was a capsule hotel, I understood that there were going to be limitations on where I could store my luggage. I always arrived to a clean capsule and fresh towels/sleepwear. I definitely recommend for a cheaper option to a standard hotel if you don't mind not having your luggage easily accessible.

Very nice capsule location at a good price. Very close to the Gotanda train station. Lots of nearby places to eat. I spent a week there for the cost of one night at an average name brand hotel.

Thank you for using Do-c gotanda Originally a capsule hotel for 30 years, we are renovating it. The capsules are old, but the bedding etc. are the same as those used in the affiliated Nine Hours stores, only the shape is changed, so the sleeping comfort is the latest. We are aiming for a service that is different from the traditional capsule hotel business, so we appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your valuable opinions and deep appreciation

A capsule hotel is not going to be for everyone, but this is in a good location, plenty of places to eat 24 hours a day, station less than 5 mins walk. Sleeping area was quiet, capsule with blind shut gave nice sense of privacy. Nice showers and good sauna

Capsule Hotel Stay.
It was our first time staying at a capsule hotel. We decided to try for the experience and the low price. We didn’t mind the service nor the capsule itself. However, staying in the specific location may not have been the best choice as it’s very close to a lot of night clubs. We had a hard time sleeping due to both the noise inside the capsule area and especially outside. It was very noisy throughout the whole night as you could hear the talking, screaming, and laughing taking place outside. Inside the capsule, the amount of room was to be expected but it was a little uncomfortable due to the heat. I’m not sure but throughout the night it would be cold then hot. The washrooms were shared and were okay but some of the sinks and toilets dirty. I can not fault the staff for this as it was late night and guests could have made the mess. The saving grace was the WiFi was fast and it allowed me to put my headphones on and watch videos to somewhat block out the noise. Overall, if you need a place to stay for a low price and can deal with the noise, staying here would suffice. However, I don’t think I would return to stay again due to the experience I had. I would only return if I needed a last minute cheap place to stay but I would opt for a better area.

Cheap and good location but that's all
You have what you pay for. Well located, close to Gotanda station, it is quite minimalistic. I am not fond of the raw concrete style and the cabin was a bit too hot. It is cheap and you cannot expect more from this price

Fantastic value and location. Clean and comfortab!
Staff was friendly and helpful. You get fresh towels, pajamas, and toothbrush everyday. You have to vacate from 10am to 1:30 pm for them to clean everything from top to bottom. You get fresh pillow, sheets, etc. for your cozy little pod. Take a sleeping pill if you’re clostrophobic. You’ll get used to it in a couple days. Definitely not fancy but clean and functional. The area is girl clubs and pimps and hoes. But it is completely safe! Because it’s legal in Japan it doesn’t bring with it all the crime, lowlifes, and junkies. I will definitely stay here again next time in Tokyo and will recommend it to all my friends. Fantastic value. Most of the guests are Chinese businessmen. Everyone is real quiet and respectful and for the most part doesn’t make eye contact. The 7th floor lounge is pretty much just a quiet place to geek out on your phone or laptop and have something to eat from a take out place or 7-11. Cool little outside deck where it says no smoking but I did anyway and no one said anything.

Good price for a clean and new capsule hotel in the one of the busiest area in Tokyo. However, the shower room does not have enough space to get dressed and undressed if there are many people to use, and it smells weird in the room area because of lack of good ventilation system.

OKAY for short-term stay for backpackers
Overall, it was a nice stay for 2 nights at do-c gotanda considering the price in Tokyo. 3 min walk from Gotanda JR Station, having a wide shower & sauna facilities plus complimentary amenities. However, sound-proof appliances should be installed for the guests to be able to enjoy their nights. Plus, I was struggling with finding out the accommodation when check-in, as it doesn't have a big banner showing the entrance. Inside the capsule room, I felt a bit stuffy, when closing the curtain, due to lack of ventilator & aircon in each capsule room.

駅から近いです。女性用のサウナはないです。 通路やいろんなところに荷物があり…倉庫の中って感じです。カプセル自体は再利用な感じで新しい設備ではなかったです。シャワー，洗面室も狭すぎでドアとドアがぶつかるくらい。駅近くで寝れたのでよかったですが。
